It boggles my mind that speedrunners are able to find out about glitches like this

Can't tell who's having it worse: Mario, where his own body is smeared across and implanted into the entire game, or the console itself, having a complete seizure and begging the player to just play the game normally.

I remember wondering what this little sequence was based on, and being so incredibly surprised at how elaborate this glitch is - and how accurately it is portrayed, in all its freakish glory. Seriously - entering a pipe "backwards" while positioning Koopa Shells at various coordinates to force the machine to go through an elaborate memory loading/unloading sequence... that, when complete, just happens to result in playing the ending cutscene of the game. "Interdimentional Toilet" indeed. Speedrunners - especially our demonic antagonist here - have some incredible skills.

To me it feels like this is the moment Mario originally gets the Speed Demon. Every other moment seems pretty typical to a speed run, but this particular moment is... haunting. The fact that immediately after is when Luigi and Kirbo appear to exorcise him sems a bit too coincidental to me.

I really wanna see him animate more glitches I’d love to see his depiction of “walking the turtle” from SMB1, “blue warps” from Ocarina of Time, or anything from SMW

That’s a lot more than four parallel universes he needs to be ahead of.

This isn’t Mario warping through the game. This is the game warping through Mario.

This is what happens when Mario is no longer bound by the player's controller. He is free to speedrun at his own desired pace, and this is the horrible result.

Step 1: Kill three Piranha Plants so the three needed Koopa Shells can be loaded in. Step 2: Quickly align all three Koopa Shells in three pixel-perfect X-Positions. Step 3: Clip into the side of a specific pipe (it's shown as a red block when you do it) Step 4: Wait for Mario to stop descending, and head right and hit the (usually invisible) Note Block before the Koopa shells "wake up" and mess up the set-up. Result: You skipped World 8 and ended up right in Peach's room

If you don’t know the scream it’s creepy but if you know it then it becomes way funnier
