hears a video of a a speedway bike wash, I made this because not many people know whats involved, not saying this is the best way but its just what I've learned and picked up from other people, I know the first time I washed a speedway bike I didn't know where to start as its a lot different to motocross, hope this helps someone or you just find it interesting.

50 yrs ago I used to sit and watch Ivan Mauger do this. He lived same road. Oakfield Avenue in Chorlton. Paul Tyrer was just down the road at his Dad's Butcher shop. I used to play cycle speedway with Paul's brother Keith. Man I'm fookin an old bastard ..lol Ivan came and decorated our front room he was that skint and used my Dad's phone as they never had one for his driving school business. Few year's later he is World Champ ! RIP uncle Ivan as I used to call him and aunty Ray.

could you imagine formula 1 drivers doing this all the millions they on pampered like anything. speedway is the best motorsport riders are the best just hope the sport gets through after this virus goes away wishes to all riders

Great video. Would be interested to know what your maintenance schedule is on the carb/clutch/engine. How many races (4-laps) before your freshen the engine? How many before a complete overhaul? Whats the rough cost for both? How many races do you get out of a set of clutch plates before they are worn out? Do you replace the diaphragm in the carb after every meeting? Thanks.

Greetings from USA Dan ! Just watched your Hero Cam on Pinjar Park. In the States, pretty much all the track except Perris are tiny. Contact Fast Fridays Dave in Auburn for the USA vs The World in October. It's all for fun and I'm sure they cover your Air Fare and put you up. I'm in So.California but I'd come up to watch you man. I saw pictures of you before your injury and watched your results and injury is part of the Speedway experience. I tipped you as a future force in the sport and I stand by that. Dan what is the key to starting the bike off the back wheel? My bike starts so easy first time with a push but cant seem to get it going on the wheel. Is it just a knack or do you set carb a bit different or anything

Between 4 to 6 if your not rushing, this was half one afternoon and half the next morning tho because I got soaked 😅

you can just use washing up liquid it does the job, I clean it with washing up liquid and hot water and then use a tiny bit of rock oil carb cleaner but you don't need to : )
