"I'm pretty hot, huh?" -- You're pretty much Mushu (: Awesome review! I learned a lot about the features and exactly how the Dx9 works, it makes a lot of sense! The voice aspect is pretty awesome too lol

Hey Voro, I own a DX8 now and haven't had any problems with it. Would you recommend upgrading to a DX9 or a DX18? Also have you had any problems with Spektrum's reliability (brownouts, weak signal etc.)? Thanks for a great review!

I am confused about what the flight mode or F-Mode function is actually used for. Specifically page 14 of the manual. Can anyone explain exactly how this is useful?

Does the Tx have a port for ear plugs. With background noise it maybe hard to hear out on the field with other pilots. Thanks for the review
@VoroRC10 жыл бұрын
As a matter of fact it actually does have a port for earphones, right next to the buddy cord plug. Thanks, Voro

Voro, Have you used the Futaba Fasst radios? If you have what are your thoughts?
@VoroRC10 жыл бұрын
I have not had the pleasure of owning my own futaba radio, however I have flown many and they work very well, but I don't know much about the programming or how quick the fasst technology actually is. Sorry, I wish I could be more help, Voro.

hi Im plannig of gettin an dx9 and i would like to know if i Can set up a 100cc with smoke and a kill switch but i count and 9 channels are not enought
@VoroRC8 жыл бұрын
Yes, sir, you can do it with a DX9, however, you're going to need a power distribution board like a powerbox or smartfly. I have always had good luck with a smartfly EQ10 board. It basically assigns all servos to one channel but with the ability to still control them independently. Thanks, Voro

IS there an option to change the voice? like u do on your smartphones and GPS devices?
@VoroRC10 жыл бұрын
There are few options. It comes standard as an American accent, however it sounds like a robot is speaking to you. The only other English speaking voice is the English accent you hear in this video (which you have to download from spektrums website). As for the other languages I'm not sure what they sound like. Thanks for the question, Voro.

will it buddybox with a dx6i ? Really good review, thank you....
@VoroRC10 жыл бұрын
It is suppose to bind with any DSM2 and DSMX transmitter, so yes. I have not personally done it with with dx6i, only the dx8. But, it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks, Voro

I would like to know, can I turn off telemetry while flying. When I go for motor I want the woman to be quirt, but as soon I have arrived the termik I want her to speak out. I can put on a switch but then she only talk when I use it or I can make a time delay but then she speak every that time delay. I would like when I use the switch she speak for every that time delay. Is that possible. I can find the solution. Any help to get here
@VoroRC10 жыл бұрын
Hello, I think you're asking, "can you put the telemetry monitor on a timer?" It's a little complex, and you'll have to work with the "sequencer" Thanks, Voro
@rejnarstorm759010 жыл бұрын
VoroRC no I ask can I put the voice repeating on a switch. If I go to telem. then to altitude accept, then I come to a screen where I can sit some features . One is a time delay for repeating the height. If I sit 30 sec. she will tell me the altitude every 30 sec. If I set that to inh. I can put it on a switch and she will only tell me the altitude every time I place that switch in that particulate position. I want to be able to her to be silence as long the switch is off and when it is on she start telling me every 30 sec.

Hi VoroRC I am planning to equip my new DLE111 powerd 3D plane entirely with Spectrum components. But I am hesitating, because most of my friends say (I am from Switzerland) Spectrum is not safe enough for planes that size. They are telling stories about crashes, caused by Spectrum Systems. What is your Opinion on this? Seems you have good expirience using Spectrum systems. I have seen you fly your Extra260 with a JR Reciever and Spectrum Dx7 Transmitter, why this mix?
@VoroRC10 жыл бұрын
Hello, Dx7, Dx7s, Dx8, Dx9, Dx10t, and Dx18. Those are all capable of flying giant scale planes, like yours. The trick, is going to be the receiver and how you mount it. I highly recommend the Spektrum AR9110 PowerSafe receiver with 4 satellites. That is the setup I will use for all of my 50-150cc planes from now on. Any PowerSafe receiver will work perfectly fine, I'd recommend a minimum of 3 satellites if you choose that route. Mounting the satellites is THE most important step, mounting them in the correct areas and at the correct orientation (owners manual has a very easy-to-read diagram on how to mount the satellites). Any other questions, feel free to ask. Thanks, Voro

VoroRC thanks for this. I do actually like Spectrum (but have not much personal expirience with it), and I am up to change from Multiplex to Spectrum, since my Transmitter is really very old. Unfortunately, I don't know hardly any kolleague who's using Spectrum at my local Club, only the very beginners with BNF planes. Many say that this System is not reliable and stuff like that, even the guy in my hobby store does advise me against it. Why this? Ok, the Transmitters (e.g. DX9) is rather cheap, compare to others. But does it mean that it's not reliable too? Ok, for the very Basic ones, like Dx6 and below, maybe. But the "upper class" ones? Do you know many pilots with Spectrum in your environment, and are they happy with it? Thanks in advance!

CAPRIOLO707 It's a lot of personal preference. I know people that hate futaba because they had a bad experience with it, and I know people who dislike spektrum because they have a bad experience. Some of the worlds best freestyle pilots who fly in the XFC such as Daniel Holman and Seth Arnold, use the DX18. There is nothing wrong with the Spektrum systems, as long as you read and set the system up correctly. Thanks, Voro

The voice capability put this radio ahead of any radio without it IMO. When you are flying LOS at a distance and looking at a tiny spec in the sky the last thing you want to do is take your eyes off of it and the timer is essential.
