This video just saved me a headache as I just bought a second hand Night Timber X that was registered to the previous flyer. Spectrum resolved the registration issue by deregistering it in two days! Great service by Horizon Hobby/Spektrum.

I've got a brand new AR630 receiver, that I don't wish to register or update at this time. (my computer is down). Can I still install in my PNP model and setup without registering and updating the receiver?

Does anyone have the file for DXS update? I cannot login to spektrumRC because they didn't send me an account verification email (tried 3 different emails on 2 different computers) but the emails do go through for password reset/reminders. I really want to fly my Turbo Timber Evo with my friend 😢

Sean, what do I do for updates when I don't unfortunately have a windows operating system? You videos are very informative and I have figured things out I might not have.

Hi there I'm glad I can help . That is the whole idea of this you tube venture. . So to answer your question. I'm sure updates can be done with android. You can program a ar636 receiver with a phone or tablet you can program a dxe transmitter with you phone also. There are several apps you can get from spektrum in your app store. However I have not tried to do updates. I am going to figure out your question and when I do I will do a video on it

When I plug in my cable to the Rx and pc, nothing happens, I cant click connect, or power cable or anything, I've checked, the cable is plugged in right, any ideas why thats happening?

Hi Sean, I have similar receiver (AR361) and the programming cable, but my TX DX6 is not showing "forward programming", any idea how to bring the forward programming into the DX 5 menu ?

YOU CAN UPDATE IT THREW THE PC SPEKTRUM PROGRAMMER. HOWEVER YES THE UPDATER IS SEPERATE AND YES YOU CAN DOWN LOAD IT. IT IS KINDA TRICKY TO FIND IT. GO TO TOWER HOBBIES WEB SITE LOOK FOR DISCONTINUED AR636 RECEIVER THEN DOWN TO MAYBE MANUALS OR EXTRA PARTS AND THE DOWN LOAD IS AROUND THERE . OR LOOK FOR THE USB CABLE AND SCROLL DOWN AND LOOK FOR THE DOWN LOAD THERE

Anyone kno the exact type of SD card needed to update a dx8e gen 2.. ive tried and bought over 20 different cards and none work.. I kinda figured my dx8e would of come atleast up to date with the firmware. But nope. And for the life of me I cannot get this stupid transmitter to accept a SD card so I can update it to access forward programming. I'm already stuck buying a USB connector to unlock my ar637ta so I can use Forward programming and now I've got this stupid problem that the dx8e won't accept any SD card so I can update it..
