In this video Tom goes over some of the features and how to easy and data rich charging is when using a Spektrum Smart battery. Also we go over how to charge a everyday, non-Smart, lipo with your Smart chargers.

This is an excellent charger with dual charging ports, easy to use and has plenty of power to charge up to 6’s packs, great job on this one SPEKTRUM, very SMART!!!👍🏼👊🏼🤓

I’ve charged one non smart battery and lost both charging ports. Sent it back, Horizon Hobby sent me a new S2100. For a month I dedicated the replacement S2100 charger for only Smart batteries. Today I needed to discharge three 3s 1800’s. Didn’t get 5 minutes into the discharge... and my backup is headed back to Champaign, IL. If you want a Smart Charger I’d suggest the Gen2.

Are the spektrum chargers capable of measuring internal resistance of the cells on a non smart battery?

i have a 5000mAh 100c 4s 14.8V and when i start to charge it it says abnormal balance port connection and it’s all plugged in is there something that i did wrong or missing?

It would have been nice to charge the same type of battery and mah rating smart and non so you got to see the settings they used. IE they used a 3s 5000mah smart battery it would have been nice to see them use a 3s 5000mah non smart battery

Quick but important question: I only have your Gen1 Spektrum 3S and 4S batteries. They are all set to go to storage charge after 72hrs. So far so good. But what about the batteries which I use on the field and come back home at different levels say one at 55% and other one at 25% etc Will they still go to auto-storage if they are above the 3.9V or 3.8V or do I need to manually get them now down to auto-storage? What about the ones which come back say at 10% etc Can I leave them like this for storage or do I also need to manually charge them again up to at least auto-storage? When manually charging batteries down to storage level do we use the same charge like when we charge them up? (Ex. 2200mAh at 2.2?) Thanks!!!

If the battery is left above the storage voltage that is set for the battery (say 3.7v) then it will go to that voltage after that 72hrs. IF it is below that voltage and you do not intend on using the battery for some time, go ahead and charge it like normal to that storage voltage. Hope that helps!

My s2100 smart charger doesn’t turn blue after the green cycle and nor does my screen look like the one in the video but my manual that came with it talks about the same thing as is in the video. Is my charger a new version and if so do you have a updated manual for it

☠️BLACK BARON☠️ I bought it. Very nice and simple user interface design. 2x Ports for loading my 6S batteries and a USB port for charging my Spektrum Transmitter and my XK124. Very convenient in a compact product design.

☠BLACK BARON☠ I purchased two 6S Spektrum G2 Lipo with the software updater cable to charge G2 Spektrum batteries as well. For some reason, the S2100 shuts down with the Spektrum G2 batteries connected at 3,5A on Channel 1 and 3,5A on Channel 2 port. Any iDeas in software and firmware?

I have the S2200 charger two 3S 3200mAh smart batteries and I don't have to a thing The two 4S 2200mAh Smart batteries I have don't get detected and I can't get them to charge. They are brand new out of the box.

I have an e-mail out to you all, and waiting a response for about 4 days now. I have two spektrum smart batteries that do not show up as "smart" when I plug them in.....batteries are less than one week old. I would like to get a warranty replacement or some insight on why this is happening. thank you!

Hi Donny, if you purchased from a retailer, feel free to contact them for warranty help. Otherwise your best bet is to wait for support to answer your email. They are about 5 days behind from last I knew. Thanks!

As long as the adapter is wired propperly it should work just fine :)

it is simply a 5V/2Amp power port for charging USB

The fact that the manual doesn't have any reference to the symbols sucks. I like the charger and like the idea of spektrum smart technology but poorly executed at times.

On my Second charger will not recognize smart batteries and won’t balance any batteries. The batteries are all fairly new. This thing is garbage

Explain to me why I keep getting errors on my charger when I try to charge my Smart Battery that is NI-HM and it wont charge it. TRASH! I am pissed. Not to mention you have this upgrade for the chargers and yet your still selling the old ones with the old setup like dumb asses
