After learning to play this song, you come to realize how much John McGeoch influenced Johnny Marr. That iconic intro riff in Spellbound sounds like a Gothic interpretation of a Smiths song.

Not an easy song to play. Kind of sounds like a goth rock Johnny Marr. I've been searching for a good lesson on this and this has to be the best I've seen! Great explanations of the arpeggio patterns. And that's a beautiful Jazzmaster you've got!

McGeoch was excellent. listen to his rhythm guitar on Definitive Gaze off the debut album Real Life by Magazine. Apparently, his best playing was for Public Image!? Anyway, this song and Israel are his best songs with the Banshees. If John Frusciante can say studying John McGeoch made him the guitarist he is, are YOU going to argue with him?
