Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 8th tier of English football, the Isthmian League North. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were evevntually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 4th tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Division 1 South East. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams...and not forgetting our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. Games like this show that we really are lucky to have Jesse in the side. When you have a player who just consistently seems a level above everyone else on the pitch it really can drag up some of our relative shortcomings. Without him, I feel like we lose our heads a bit after we go 2-1 down and probably lose the game based on how desperate our attack looks at times when he doesn't play. Also shoutout to the newer attackers in the side! We've never really had problems creating chances but now we have a few players who look like they'll be consistently putting some of those opportunities in the back of the net. Very exciting! Great win, great game all around!

I don’t care what anyone says Bano is so underrated. Even when he’s not had the biggest impact offensively scoring throughout the match he was making brilliant passes. Not the best defensive performance but still doing a job he’s not used to doing every match. Props to Bano for the performance

I'm going back to my comment couple weeks back saying we were on the verge of a great run. Way to go boys, the 2nd half heart was great, and it was a SUPER entertaining game to watch. Olly, great to see an opposing Chairman in the commentary, it was refreshing! The Seed Growers should be proud of the game they played, be encouraged! Your number 11 is quite special. Jesse, MOTM well deserved! Possibly goal of the season. Production team, I really liked the arrows over the players during the replays the other week--it added a lot. I hope you guys go back to it. ESPN also does things like the crosshairs or circle around the player of interest prior to the start of replays. Not trying to make more work, I enjoy the excellence you boys produce and would like to see it continue to improve. Up the 'tags.

Bantick is the dream addition to this team. Now the defense and the offense are completely sorted and you can really start enjoying football. What a transition from the first quarter of the season where it looked like it was gonna be very hard to get somewhere with this team. Respect to devs. He does an amazing job. Bantick, Jesse, Toby, Luke hirst look like a team you don't wanna play against. Benoit has been incredible too. A real mountain. Up the tags!

Wow, honestly one of the best Hashtag Games I think I’ve seen in recent memory, some crazy goals! Luke Hirst looks like he’s starting to gain confidence which is great considering goals we’re so hard to come by not too long ago. The team looks a lot more dangerous going forward but I think we also look easy to break down through the middle when we don’t have the ball, plenty of chances for the opposition starting from there, perhaps something to improve upon. Regardless what a game and what a win! UP THE TAGS
