It's always nervous for a guys first day. One employee I trained he had no experience whatsoever, was a pizza restaurant manager, hated yard work but needed a job....., he hated the job, but he never gave up and I taught him everything from weed eating to him how to run a and managed his own crew and route and now he has his own lawn business and him and I are great friends. Before I was employed at the company, only supervisors mowed. They never walked the property or trim or prune a much. As a supervisor I very rarely got on a mower I would weedeat to walk the property to make sure all the details got done. We made sure we did some pruning each visit so it wouldn't get out of hand and being less efficient when it's grown. I would get new guys trained on everything in two weeks. Where other crews would be like a month to get a new guy on a mower. Good job with him on his first day. Make sure you teach him everything you know. I loved training news guys and seeing them build that confidence. It was one of my favorite parts of my job.

Employees have been a must this year! It’s great you guys got some help. The schedule/list is long along with other jobs and it’s a lot to handle. I’ve got 2 good Guys this year who came on late last summer and it’s taken such a load off my plate with how busy it gets.
