For those not familiar…Aj soares, Servando carrasco, demit omphroy (sp?), Davis Paul, David Bingham…all Cal players that were drafted into MLS, in the same year possibly? I think all of them are done now, Carrasco and Bingham having the longest careers. Soares went to Europe and played but had to retire due to concussions. Demit had to retire due to his MS diagnoses. And of course we can’t forget Carrasco’s wife the legendary Alex Morgan who is one of the best female footballers of all time, who is a Berkeley alum and is still an active player for San Diego in NWSL and with the US Women’s National Team.

My knowledge of Canadian collegiate football is very subpar tbh, but I’ve heard Humber, Langara and Nait are quality programs. Take that with a grain of salt though👍🏻

Not much really in terms of ability, but D1 has so many resources it's sad they don't impress more. Remember there are a lot of players who are not good at school work that don't get to make it to college.

Most definitely possible, but some NJCAA schools require you to spend at least 2 seasons with their program before transferring.

Eventually after the D1 series concludes in 2024 I’ll transition to working with 15-20 D2 and D3 programs👍🏻

D1 teams provide literally everything for free if on scholarship.

It’s worth it to play D1 with a scholarship but if you gotta pay 20k plus to go it’s not worth it just go play NAIA,JUCO then transfer.💯🤙🏼

Easier said than done, but fundamentally this is valid. Competition and playing time are a few more key factors that go along with scholarship money when deciding to commit to a program.

Your facilities are insane. You can feel that american universities are privately paid while our german's are state financed. We pay ourselves for a really packed crappy gym. Athletes are reduced price only. Not complaining, though. I don't have to pay for my studies which is a remarkable achievement of our society, i feel.
