No edge control it thin & breaks the hair. Tiana’s hair is healthy & well taken care of. When she gets older if she chooses to you that it’s her choice. Great job Jon.

Edge control doesn’t do that, high alcohol level in jell does that most edge controls are made from natural products if the brand is a good one an not cheap. My aunt has been a professional hair dresser for 16yrs and taught me a lot

Helpful hint for the lint is to put on a silk bonnet at bedtime and for lounging around on the couch. This will prevent lint build up. Great job with that ponytail dad!

That was sooooo nice of Ms. Andrea bringing Tyonna Easter basket home from school. So sweet. I'm sure that made Tyonna's day. I remember the day when my little sister was sick and the teacher and whole class came to our home to visit her. I also remember the day when the Principal visited our home for dinner.

I had chicken pox when I was in the third grade. My mom said, "I have such a surprise for you", I couldn't wait. The surprise. Was my elementary school principal. He had come to bring some calamine lotion and chicken noodle soup that his wife had made. My mom thought it was so generous And considerate that she offered him a grilled cheese and he was able to sit with me and have lunch. That principle talked about that until I graduated six grade. When I walked across the stage no one ever knew why I was so happy to get out of the elementary school. This man had become an object in our home. 😅😅😅😅😅

BTW John so sorry for the terrible migraines. My husband.gets the same migraines too. He calls them kaleidoscope migraines. They last about 30 minutes. However, he always gets a slight headache before and after. Sometimes the light headache last a whole day. It literally drains his energy. He usually gets them when he is stressed, especially dealing with numbers like bills. Anyways hope you feel better. You are fortunate to have such a beautiful supportive wife to help you along.

I have 5 grandaughters, , heres some tips: Always wet her hair with a spray bottle of moisturizer or plain water. then apply a soft moisturizer before you brush it.. Never comb or brush it dry. Do not apply a comb to it dry, it will break off & hurt. just use your fingers to style or twist it. Try KZfaq Styling Natural hair for kids. , Wear a satin bonnet at night to stop the lint.And sleep on a satin Pillowcase to retain moisture. Natural hair requires moisture. And oil her scalp at least twice weekly with olive oil. OR safe hair oil. Also contact a natural hair dresser that does kids Natural hair no chemicals.

She does wear a bonnet. It’s show in plenty of videos. Sometimes kids fall asleep without a scarf but those fuzzies normally come regardless because children roll around on anything that they can.

I relate to those migranes. It's terrible because you never know when it's coming. Without no reason bam there it is and you are unable to do things for a while. I take Ibuprofen right away when the aura flashes start to keep the pain under control... lots of greetings to Jon - he is not alone with this thing 😊🌻

I endorse everything you’ve said, but one of my favourite clip was when Jon had eaten the French toast and fruit, Tyanna was walking by, Jon asked for her to take the empty plate to the kitchen. She glanced at the plate and said, “no thank you”! And walked off. He asked again, she repeated, “no thanks”! And continued to her play area without bating an eyelid. I burst out laughing. It was so spontaneous, funny and cute. Love her, she’s my girl, gets right to the point and no is no.

Jon you did a fabulous job on Tyanna's hair. If you don't mind, I'd like to suggest.. When spraying the conditioner, use your fingers to comb through the hair to the very end. Using a round hair clip might be easier than using a band. That's what I use for my hair which is really thick like Tyanna's. It helps lessen the breakage often caused by taking out stretchy hair bands. Also, sleeping with a silk or satin hair bonnet or scarf will help keep the lint out of her hair. Either way I love how you've both taken the time to learn how to do Black hair, because while we're all more alike than different, Black hair is different.

Smart Jon!...her hair is long, and there are no tangling and knots, thanks to Mommy.... She fully trusts Mom and Dad with her hair. You'll are brilliant when you do Tyanna's hair, so sweet......despite busy schedules, these parents always make time for Tyanna....👍so much love, care, and adoration for their daughter..❤..true, real, authentic love...Tyanna is so sensible and responsible when Mommy and Daddy speak to her, and she can follow instructions to the tee....

You’re a very good person, wife, mom. Seem to be very patient and considerate. John I like your balance between work, husband, father. You’re a lot of fun. Tyonna is maturing a lot, but that’s because of the quality time you spend with her ❤ keep up the good work.
