Fun fact; there are actually different odds for each villager. According to data minding, the game rolls first for species, then a villager from that category. So the octopus are quite common, cause there is only three of them. Raymond meanwhile, is a cat, which there is a ton of, making him, funnily enough, one of the rarer villagers. Please dont waste nook miles trying to get Raymond via random islands. If you are willing to time travel, you can quite easily get through the campsite method

Tip: When a villager asks to move away. DONT answer them (even if it's so tell them to stay) Instead, quit the game without saving and time travel to the next day. This will reroll who asks to move away. This is probably the fastest known method to cycle villagers other than amiibo cards ofc.

Yesterday I found Marshal in 10 tickets! Don’t give up hope, you’ll get the business cat eventually. Also when the plot was autosold to Jambette you must’ve time traveled past 5am which registers as a new day; when a plot is placed down you only have a day before it gets autosold to a random villager.

A quick tip when you see a villager with the move away bubble in they’re head and it’s a villager you want to keep just talk to them to confirm that they wanna move away then close the game before you answer them and time travel 1 day forward, that will move the thought bubble to another villager, you can keep going until it moves to a villager you want to leave

Yesterday I spent over 200 tickets and 7 hours searching for Rosie,Diana and goldie on my 217 I found goldie and I was so so happy I passed on so many “popular” villagers I saw lucky 4 times,marina 3times and Audie twice I was so tempted to get Audie cuz she’s kinda cool but I sticked to my mission

Well, it always comes down to odds. I've gotten a shiny in 5 minutes and another one in like 20 hours. Sometimes the odds are in your favor and sometimes they're not.

Actually someone did some testing which suggests that the game rollst a random species first, and the selects one villager from that species. So since there are so many cats in the game, Raymond is actually rarer than most villagers. That also explains why I keep running I to Zucker every damn time, there are only 3 octopi

Guys the best way to get Raymond is through the campsite because you don’t get repeats, if u look it up it would help a lot. Me and all my friends got him doing this it is literally so easy and you don’t need nookazon or anything just you have to have the campsite and no other smug villagers.
