Spermatococeles are benign lesions of the scrotum. They are usually painless and do not cause any significant problems. Treatment is usually watchful waiting and only if they become large, do they need to be surgically removed.

Same here. My left nut has been hurting since 2015 and it’s 2022 now and I just found the lump, though it’s probably been there for a while. Scared the hell out of me until I did research. Now I’m less worried but I still scheduled an appointment with a doctor. Gotta wait a month though.

I have had one that I had diagnosed when I was 24. I am now 51. Mine is not actually attached to my testicle. My doc showed me the flashlight method of checking it and I do that twice a year. It never causes me pain but does make me worry at times and that is about it. My advice to anyone is get it checked (if you have not) and act accordingly. I have had two children so it didn't have an affect on that : ).

Doctor: Why is it rare to just use a needle to suck out some fluid? Who cares if the cyst comes back. I'd do that every 2 years rather than 1 operation
@suspicionofdeceit3 жыл бұрын
4nomorewar Again Good question, I’m getting the same answer, they have to operate and won’t drain it.
@akimbo5u3 жыл бұрын
@@suspicionofdeceit there are additional risks with sticking a needle constantly into the scrotum including infection and the creation of fibrosis from breaking through the tissue constantly.
@suspicionofdeceit3 жыл бұрын
akimbo5u It’s not constantly, maybe every few years. Those are also risks with surgery, I may do it to my spermatocele. Just seems so much simpler than a surgery.

If operating just one side cyst makes you 50% infertile then operating the other side as well should make it 100% infertile which is a massive threat for any male.. I have cyst in one side and I'm scared to operate it for the risk of infertility.
@dawoodmusa47314 жыл бұрын
You can try aspiration or Lugol's or Nascent Iodine testicular painting. Read somewhere that Nascent iodine and Lugol's iodine shrinks the cysts.

Dr. Neil what would happen if I popped one of these things like a blister?
@Os-op4lj8 жыл бұрын
You can easily harm your epididymis doing this, and cause infertility.

Christiaan Baron - I want to know more about this. I was going to get the operation but I don't want to go infertile on that side nor risk death of the testicle from a cut blood supply. Another video said they take testicle out of the scrotum to work on it. Why do they say your way causes infection more than an operation would? Greed? I need to know more
@scotwfree5 жыл бұрын
@Christiaan Baron what size needle do you use?
@scotwfree5 жыл бұрын
@Christiaan Baron thanks, now I just need to figure out where to get them.
@scotwfree5 жыл бұрын
@Christiaan Baron I thought you said it didn't hurt or cause any complications when you did it? I dont want to allow it to get any bigger than it already is. If I aspirated it with a 10 or 20cc syringe I could probably get all the fluid out of it.

Lol I had one that was the size of one of my testicles about 5 years ago and had it removed since it was very painful....pretty nasty

So it can make you infertile if you go through surgery? What if I just leave it there? Urologist.told me I had 1 in each testicle, but said its nothing to worry about sense their small but would it cause me to be infertile if I don't get it fixed?
