Original Scream trailer recreated in the Scream 5 trailer style to celebrate the release of the Scream 2022 Blu ray Two-Movie Collection. The latest Ghostface horror movie starring Neve Campbell propelled the Scream franchise past $100M for the first time since Scream 3 and doubled the gross of Scream 4. Scream 6 will be released on March 10, 2023.

Scream 2022 united legacy characters Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), Dewey Riley (David Arquette), Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich) and Judy Hicks (Marley Shelton scream) with a new cast. The new movie's focus on the past made for plenty of references to the 1996 original, notably the finale at Stu Macher's house and voice cameos by returning actors from the scream franchise: Drew Barrymore, Matthew Lillard, Jamie Kennedy, Henry Winkler, and Hayden Panettiere (Scream 4), which created a strong scream reaction among viewers who recognized them.
Set 25 years after the original Woodsboro massacre in Wes Craven's 1996 Scream, Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera) must return home when Ghostface attacks her sister, Tara (Jenna Ortega). The killer plans to unearth a secret from the town’s tragic past and begins targeting people connected to the original murderers, Billy Loomis and Stu Macher (Matthew Lillard).
Unfortunately, Stu doesn’t return in Scream 5. Instead, Ghostface victim Vince (Kyle Gallner) is revealed to be Stu’s nephew. In this scream movie trailers mashup Lillard has claimed Stu isn’t dead. He was originally meant to be the mastermind in Kevin Williamson's original Scream 3 script. Although Panettiere doesn’t appear in Scream 5, the movie confirms her Scream 4 character Kirby Reed's survival. Kirby will return in Scream 6.
Jamie Kennedy’s Randy Meeks death remains one of the franchise's most heartbreaking to date. Fortunately, it didn't stop Randy from explaining the rules for a trilogy via VHS in Scream 3. In Scream 5, Kennedy makes a voice cameo during the house party at Amber Freeman's (Mikey Madison) house after Richie (Jack Quaid) forces all the guests to leave. It’s an amusing cameo since Randy's niece, Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown), and nephew, Chad (Mason Gooding), are also present at the party scream 5 reaction.
Scream 6 begins filming this summer and was given a March 31, 2023 release date. Thanks for watching this scream trailer mashup!
