As a former Assassin main, Only a few assassins are actually good at team fights, Even at a low level. I used to play Assassins a lot in old ML Helcurt, Lesley, Lancelot, Gusion, Hanzo are my most picked as Assassins Maining each of them upon release Helcurt is super frail and can easily get cc'd so try to aim for weaker characters or characters that have no mobility Lesley is just poking For Lancelot, Idk about the new one but for the old, Use your skills depending on the situation. If you wish to pick, 1-2-3 or 3-1-2 If you want to ambush, 2-3-1 At least, thats how I played him before For Gusion (before), I tend to just play 1v1 if it's possible, you can go for 2v1

I suck too but I switched to using fighters with burst damage, that way I'm not squishy in team fights, I have enough hp and def to escape. That's why freya,argus,yin are such effective junglers. I suggest starting with them.

Assassin is the role to kill your enemies easily. But the easiest targets for Assasin, it requires the controller/player to know which targets to choose. Assassin role heroes all have 1 same thing, they can easily kill Marksman/Mage or low HP targets with only use their full combo skill once. I've fought against Nolan enemy with same build in the video when I played MM/Mage, he can kill me easily with (Basic Attack + Skill 1). Without full combo to kill squishy tagets when he farms money fast enough before his targets have enough items or level to bare his massive quick damage. When you understand that Assassin heroes should focus on killing squishy heroes to earn fast gold and EXP, then you can slowly master Assassin role. Most players they fail to play Assassin role is because of their selected targets when they jump in battle. You can NOT show up early in team fight if you don't see enemy squishy heroes (they might be hiding in the bushes or on the way to team fight area). You need to be patient and wait for the right timing to kill your target(s) as an assassin role because you need to make yourself like a lion that wait for their weak target. Another in game knowledge you need to know as assassin role, always find weak enemies to kill. This makes you have more chance to kill your target and have a big chance escape if you fail to kill the target. Many players make a bad mistake about finding squishy targets because of they forget about enemy counters. In this case, waiting for the right timing to show up in the battle means you can wait for enemies to use their CC skills before jump in the battle field, this makes you kill your targets more easier and safer. After learning about above gameplay controls, you need to learn more about basic of the game such as hero info (so you know what skills each heroes have, you know when/how to face them), map info (check creep spawn time, available creeps and each heroes location on the map), item info (know each items unique effect so you know how to buy items to counter enemy team), map rotations (this is an important basic knowledge you need learn because how you rotate on the map affects the whole team benefit, it will result the game result).
