You can see how incredibly close they were in this interview, but you can also see why they kind of imploded as quickly as they did. Them making fun of Geri, not letting Mel C finish her sentence, Victoria sort of being distracted. Even though they obviously loved each other, you can sorta see the cracks.

I love how Victoria immediately grabs her arm during the slap fight when no one has touched her. This is one of the best interviews ever and the Spice Girls have a lot of great interviews. When they get together they always manage to have fun.

Their audience warmed to them because of their entertaining interviews and energetic persona's. And they had a powerful gimmick. Not even Girls Aloud were as admired as much as The Spice Girls. They were popular don't get me wrong, but they didn't have the strong characters that The Spice Girls had and they didn't have as strong a gimmick. They were essentially just another girl band who got their success because The Spice Girls had disappeared and kids needed something else to obsess over.
