This interview was especially made for the Finnish fans of the Spice Girls.
Finnish reporter Salla Paajanen met the Spice Girls in Paris, France at the end of 1997.

Geri put the interviewer, in your face! Your obsessed with money you said it yourself, cause you don't have any. Ouch! But then Geri is nice enough to explain how money can't make you happy. That's why I love Geri! 👏👏👏

this is the funniest fucking interview EVER. also the realist tbh, they were not feeling this interviewer and straight up expressed it too, thats some real ass shit honestly. the 'interviewer' (if you could even call her that) truly tried it w them. how you gone be rude AND misguided?? it does not work like that. its not unexpected from them but im so glad the girls handled this well. they might have been very Very out there abt the approach but such is life. theyre fckin dope n hilarious lol

Considering these ladies had only been together 5 minutes they handled this anoying woman really well. She was trying so hard to dish some dirt asking loaded questions about fairweather friends and long lost relatives who may have turned up looking for a hand out. She looked so pleased when Mel C mentioned a long lost sister, but was brought crashing down to earth when Mel said she couldn't be happier. Also asking the ridiculous questions about money. How dare she ask how much Emma and Mel B are sending to the children they are supporting in Kenya. That's no ones business but theirs. And if they had of told her they'd have been damned if people thought they should send more and damned if people thought they were being flash and selective by sending a huge amount. Also asking if they had problems getting their Mums involved in the video. The girls had told her many times they have wonderful relationships with their Mums so why would there be a problem? It was as if she has a shitty life and was desperate to find some conflict and discourse in theirs. But the girls were too savvy for her. This is the first interview Ive seen them do as I really had no interest in them or their music and had them down as a manufactured group of nodding puppets who basically did and said what their controllers told them. I'm beginning to find out how pleasantly wrong I was. They are four very independent, intelligent, hard working young women who kept control of their lives and I believe were active in a lot of the writing of their own songs? I'm not suprised they went on to worldwide stardom and riches. They deserved it. And I'm so happy I got them so wrong.😊 ps I have actually grown to like their songs (most of them😁) and its fascinating mining back through their videos, interviews ect and watching them grow into 40 something Mums over the course of a few days lol. 😊

While intelligent Geri put her in her place nicely plenty of times. They all handled her well. Geri actually wrote ALOT of the songs herself, which has been later found out and admitted by the girls in interviews. Viva Forever was written by Geri for instance and Goodbye, which they sang after she left the group. Isn't that funny!

Yeah they wrote their own songs, especially Geri was massively involved and often the main songwriter of their hits as well as coming up with the group name and the Girlpower theme.

@@dsff85 ... their weaknesses and 'defects' are what drove their fans crazy back then... genuine, agressive, not politically correct. In short, a (much needed) departure from too many boring and annoying clichè typical of interviews.

Gente que entrevista escrota. Todas com má vontade, largadas no sofá, já que tinha que dar entrevista que fosse com boa vontade. E quando resolvem responder, falam qualquer coisa pra querer causar, ou pra ficar bonito. Gosto delas mas nada a ver esse comportamento. Deixaram a entrevistadora confusa e constrangida. Se não gostavam das perguntas existiam outras formas de responder e de se comportar. Queriam dar exemplo fazendo isso? Incoerente.
