This song popped into my head randomly after not hearing it in probably two decades, and I STILL get chills when Mel C starts belting it at the end. That woman has some major pipes -- they all do. Probably my favorite Spice Girls song. Nothing beats an old 90s nostalgia trip.

I was 13 when this song came out... I liked Wannabe but wasn't a huge fan. When say you'll be there came out, I watched the video before even knowing who they were and that they were the same girls who sang wannabe... We didn't have social media or anything.. instantly fell in love with them and with this song. When I eventually found out it was the spice girls and knew that they had released wannabe before say you'll be there I was like oh my gooood these girls are on fire. I rushed to buy the album and I remember instantly falling in love with it and I'm in braxil... They were HUGE, like proper HUGE... it was the best era of pip music... It wasn't sexualized... It wasn't about looking like a porn star... It was 100% about having fun and oh my god it was so much fun... Nothing compares to the 90s... Pop music will never hit its peak like in the 90s for me... And the spice girls were literally like the queens of planet earth they dominated the radio, the news... MTV... Everything was about the spice girls it was like living in spice world. Just fabulous.

This song will always remind me of watching MTV in the afternoon with my cousins, when we would spend time at our grandparents house during the summer. I can vividly remember watching this video for the first time (I’d heard the song on the radio, but had never seen the music video). It was even more of a treat because my grandpa would always own the biggest “big screen tv” which was quite uncommon at the time. We were eating pepperoni hot pockets from Schwan’s, and drinking cold Cokes (that my grandma ALWAYS kept in stock) cooling off after playing and skateboarding outside in the Oklahoma humid summer heat. One of my favorites memories.

Today is my birthday and they're still my go to group. I still love them, I'm damn near 30 years old and they still help me jump out of my seat. I'm sad that I never got to see them (mom wouldn't let me go and wouldn't come with me lol). They'll be my forever favourites!!! My fond childhood memories and I'm grateful that all I have to do is just play one of their songs and I'm right back to where I was!!

I was a 90's baby and this makes me really nostalgic. Things seemed more innocent back then, their version of sexy still left something to the imagination and there's something so charming about how borderline cheesy the video is. That's in relation to the girl bands of today like fifth harmony who dance around grinding half naked singing "I can back it up" and "I'm wearing nada sending you pic after pic"...

It's just such an impossibly good number.... The production is magic and makes the most of individual vocal strengths - which are sometimes modest. The whole, is just such a tremendous recording and a real pop bop. Amazing. Love it.

It's funny how people or young people are saying Little Mix or 5th Harmony are the "new" Spice Girls...sorry to say none of those groups are in the same league. Little Mix has 3 albums out already and haven't had a fraction of success the Spice Girls had with the 1st album. 5th Harmony well they are not even close. It's hard for younger people NOW to understand how much power The Spice Girls had and still have. Right now you just have boy bands, so they can't see beyond that and how a girl group could have global world wide success.

never heard of 5th harmony or little mix...while the spice girls were known worldwide and super popular. I come from a hispanic country and I can tell you that they were big hits besides america and europe. They were in par with the Backstreet boys....gosh, those were the good times!!! while those groups mentioned here are really not popular because they are not known everywhere besides america...heck, I libe in america now and no one I know knows them.
