Spiced Tiger Nut Milk | Atadwe Ginger. Very Refreshing!

It is warming up...actually quite warm at my end here already; and on a hot day, a glass of the very refreshing drink will cool you down just right. This tigernut milk will do just that.
Ingredients:
10 dates, pitted
2 ½ cups tigernut
320g organic ginger
8 whole cloves
6 cups water

Really! I’ve seen many Nigerians make this milk here and on Instagram but they mostly add coconut. It is so good. We typically eat it raw or make a pudding (like pap or custard) with it in Ghana. The drink is relatively new for us.

I never heard of this type of nuts before. What other nuts I could substitute for Tiger nuts if I cant find it. I love people from diverse backgrounds. They are very interesting? You learn alot from their culture. That drink look like I took a vacation. I cant wait to try this recipe!
