Hello, namaskara from Bangalore. I love this recipe. I often make brinjal dishes, of which Karnataka style Yennegai and North Indian Bartha are my favourites. But this one looks so special. I have all that is needed, including home grown banana leaves. But it is difficult to go for a wood fired stove in the city. So I must make this on gas stove. I will miss the smoky flavour I think. But I will definitely make this. Thank you for the recipe and a lovely video. P. S: was a little bit disappointed to see you eat out of a plastic lined leaf. Eating from a banana leaf would have nicely completed this beautiful video. (That’s just my problem, don’t worry) Thank you both again.

wow that looks delicious, I love this never did this way, I deep fry without the banana leaves wrapped around. I usually make sandwich with bacon, lettus, onion, with this fried eggplant....myself a little weired ha!!🙃
