Spicy Moon in NY was one of our favourite vegan restaurants on our trip and we’re not the only ones who think so based on how busy the place is and all the takeout and delivery orders. We had lunch at their location in West Village and each ordered a lunch special that came with an appetizer and main dish. We chose the steamed dumplings, fried dumplings, dan dan noodles, and mapo tofu. The mapo tofu doesn’t come with a side of rice, so you’ll need to order that. The food, the portions, and the prices were excellent! We definitely would recommend the dan dan noodles and mapo tofu and there were a lot of other dishes that sounded great. They’ve posted a recipe on Instagram for their dan dan noodles and we’re definitely going to try and recreate it. If you’re a vegan in NYC, you can’t miss out on Spicy Moon - it’s THAT good!
