I tried a couple of these sweeps today but I see what I was doing wrong. But, a couple victories, I held guard for two 5 minute rounds thanks to spider guard. I'm in my 5th week and haven't made it through a round without being tapped except for tonight. I even got a partner into an omaplata almost but I wasn't sure how to finish and he rolled out pretty easy. But it was a good feeling to control someone and set up a potential attack. I got compliments from two different partners tonight about my guard

Good options to start learning double sleeve spider guard. Advanced players could learn from Romulo Barral, Michael Langhi and Jon Thomas for example.

Interesting. I've been practicing lasso guard for the last 2-3 months just to get the hang of it. watching this video, the basic mechanics of the sweeps here are the same 🤔 this is a blue belt who just found another puzzle piece 😅
