A video showing the fight with Calypso, the secret boss in Spider-Man 2 The Movie Game. She is found in "Boss Round 4" in the endgame after unlocking the Arena. You'll have to pass some difficult challenges to get to her though, and she's no slouch. Still, once you get the hang of her, she's not TOO hard. Apparently she was cut from the main game but the developers left her in as a secret boss. She's in the city to avenge her lover Kraven The Hunter from the first game, although he was exclusive to the Xbox version of Spider-Man 1. This was played on Dolphin 5.0-13178. Most of the game runs fine with a few slowdowns here and there, but fighting Calypso and her effects-heavy attacks seem to really slow things down for whatever reason. Anyway, thanks for watching! She was the only boss I could never beat. But I will one day. I remember seeing her in spiderman the animated series

I’ve been playing this game since I was seven I did completed all missions did everything and not once knew this was here. I shall return to my past because there is still people save in New York nd villains to take out

I remember playing this after learning about it online just to fight her. At first I was a bit confused on how to beat her and thought I wasn't doing any damage 😂😂. Still though this was a lot of fun to play.. Also sad to see she was cut. Probably would've been a great story since it sounds like from her dialogue she would've been going after Spidey to get revenge for Kraven.

The storyline was removed but implemented in Spiderman 3, so I don't see it as a big loss you know?

@@QuenTeHein its not the same as it would have been in spider-man 2, in spider-man 3 its very half ass and not very well done. different writing, execution, etc.

You certainly went in quite blindly. The strat to take her down easier than this is to find her staff and hit it. By doing this, you are preventing her from doing any of her offensive spells like the fireballs and telekinesis and discard her defensive spells like the ice balls and teleportation, leaving her completely immobile and defenseless in that magic circle barrier of hers Another tip is to keep doing the jump spin kick ONLY whenever you immediately start a combo. This is to make sure you can repeatedly hit her without letting her recover her spells back and having you to find the staff all over again.

Yeah, I had sort of watched a clip of it in another video but didn't realize about the staff. Actually, in the full playthrough of the Arena, I take her down the easy way when it's her and Rhino. I should put up a video of just her and the strategy for clarification tbh.. Incredible how much easier it was. Thanks for your comment! :)

Ahh, I see. If you're interested in deep diving into the fun of this game, check Natetheman223's speedrun videos(even though they're mostly tool assisted) or Slyfincleton for more ways to beat them or if you want to be better at web-swinging(I suggest Slyfincleton since he does his speedruns by hand). Looking forward to see your method without hitting her staff in your video

No, but fun fact... There are some lizards you can fight in the Fight Arena. And when you defeat them, they make the sounds of the "Skulls Gang" from the first game lmao. They probably were beta enemies that they decided to leave in, or maybe to hint that Lizard would be in the third game..? Not totally sure tbh.
