One of my favourite movies from my childhood, watched this on repeat on VHS so many times and it's still a badass movie great reaction.

The MCU has really messed with some people’s portrayal of Spiderman, because it surprises me every single time with reactions to this movie that hardly anyone knows that it was Uncle Ben’s death and his words that inspired Peter to become Spiderman in the first place. Spiderman isn’t some goofy kid… I mean, he is, but it’s his morals that drive him.

Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal are amazing in the movie “Brothers” it’s such an underrated and under appreciated film in my opinion.

Here are some fun power scaling for Spider-Man. Spider-Man is one of the strongest Marvel characters when considering physical strength but the reason he lose a lot and fight is because he never uses his full strength when fighting an opponent. A good example of this is him fighting bonesaw if he kick bonfire with his full strength he would have kicked bonesaw head off with one kick. Even the MCU Spider-Man if he would have hit Captain America point blank in the chest with full strength during the civil war movie he could have stopped Cap's heart. His skin is as durable as Kevlar in fact in this movie he had a goblin bomb blow up in his face. Which each goblin bomb being equal force to to grenades. He also showed that he has super speed but not in the traditional speedster speed but he can move his body at his maximum speed from any anytime. Is maximum speed is around 117 miles per hour and when you tie that with his increased reflexes he can Dodge a machine gun bullet from point blank range. Not to mention his spider Sense which can predict and recognize threats. Also Peter only has organic webs in this movie but generally he creates his web fluid with his web shooters showing his intelligence.

I'm sorry, but you could not cast a comic book villain any better than Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin. He portrays that split personality so damn well, the way he switches seamlessly from the meek-mannered Norman Osborn to the sadistic and cruel Green Goblin. Also, if you don't recognize the woman who said "Guy with 8 hands? Sounds hot...." That's Lucy Lawless, AKA Xena from Xena: Warrior Princess.

The previous Spider-Man incarnations of spider man with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are not cannon to the MCU fully but they are Cannon to the spider-verse with their different while still being similar overall lore. Which is why you have to see all of the previous Spider-Man movies before the third Tom Holland Spider-Man movie.

I recantley rewatched all spider man movies and the frist two x man movies they're still great they know what they are, before the mcu we had spider man. Xman,batman, superman, and blade still fun to watch

Danny Elfman is one reason why the films have worked and had lasted as long as they have. His themes fit wonderfully in this universe and has withstood the test of time. When most think of Spider-Man musically speaking, they're thinking of elfman.

Hey guys ! Wow the Og Spider-Man movie god I remember counting the days when I heard they were making this movie I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s waiting wanting a Spider-Man movie well may 3rd 2002 came I didn’t get much sleep that night before and I went to the first showing and for a 10:30 am showing it was Packed with people but sat down and watched this and was blown away it felt like I was a 5 year old kid again I love when thing you grew up loving become even bigger but I told my best friend about the movie cause he wanted to see it as well and when he got off work I drove to his house picked him up and was able to see it again at 11 pm showing and ur was still packed that whole weekend and that summer heck the rest of the year Everyone had spidey fever but yeah I love this movie so much and Tobey is my Soider-man like Keaton is my Batman and Christoper Reeve is my Superman but yea can’t wait to see u two Do Spider-Man 2 easily one of the greatest superhero movies of all time

I never followed the 'Superverse' comics/stories/characters (My three older brothers, hell yeah!). When these movies came out, I was utterly ignorant about the 'Lore' (I mean, aside from the obvious). What I adore MOST about this movie, is not only is it Spider Man's creation/beginning, but both Peter Parker's 'Come-of-Age' too! He's such an adorably geeky, clumsy young man, and *VIOLA,* he becomes strong, then confident. Not sure I'd wanna get bit by a spider to achieve such things, but hey, it's the story! The later versions of Spider Man, no spoilers, I found equally entertaining, but none of them did "The Beginning" better than this one!
