That Spider-Man Origins figure was the first time I ever saw Spidey 2099. The bio on the back of the card and Miguel's entry in the then current Marvel Encyclopedia had me hooked. And then Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions, the original Spider-Verse comic, and now finally Across the Spider-Verse have really and truly cemented him as one of my all-time favorite Spideys. All that, and it's just really damn cool costume.

YESSS!!!!!! He was phenomenal in Across the Spider-Verse. Imo everyone was great!!! Except maybe for Spider Woman but THIS MOVIE WAS PHENOMENAL and Spider-Man 2099 imo is the next in line to become the next big Spider Character in media in general. I know they tried before but this time oooof

Oh man I have that first 2099 figure! I still have his cape and the weird staff it had, the cape is cool and has a nice crescent piece in the cape to attach to his neck!

I saw somewhere that Hot Toys will change their new figure to have a clothed suit, due to the backlash it got. Also, Medicom just showed in SDCC a unpainted prototype for a Comics inspired Spider-Man 2099. Thanks for the video. He is also one of my favorite characters. I read the 2099 universe when it was first released and still have my #1 issue for Spider-Man 2099.
