I think to do Spider-Man 4 right, it will get delayed like everything else. Jon Watts " Old Man" was really good. Unfortunately Tom Hollands other projects have been duds. He also lives the character, so I'm not surprised he's back.

@metzger5850 seriously. I know Tom Holland said something to the extent of he wouldn't bother playing the role of peter again if they couldn't tell a story as meaningful as the spiderverse movies. Part of me wonders if this apparent MCU back-to-roots overhaul has something to do with them looking at spiderverse and realizing... Wow. We really need to turn this ship around.

@@trick1809 but homecoming, far from home and no way home are standalone Spiderman movies, they are just within the scale of the MCU, with the latter being full of cameos makes it feel a lot bigger than a standalone movie, now if you mean a more self-contained Spiderman movie, where the stories are more down to earth, the first and to an extent the second have achieved that. Not to mention we've had 3 live action versions of Peter Parker. I just want Miles to be handled with the same type of care or close to what Sony did with the animated version.

I would like to see Miles done as good as the animated version. Also, the friendship dynamic between him and Ganke. After seeing the creators for Tom Holland's Spider-Man copy that from Miles and Ganke's comic versions, I wondered if there would be a live action adaptation for Miles and Ganke if Miles got his own (live action) movie.

So glad Tom renewed his contract. I want these new movies to actually feel like a movie lol. More grounded and dark at times with stakes. I hope miles isn’t gonna be taking over the role for a little bit more. He could just be in the background im these movies until he gets bit.

Probably wont be that way since Marvel has been way more kid friendly with their shows and movies. Way more comedy than there should be and almost 0 serious moments. And the serious movies that there are are always broken up by some stupid joke by a side character.

I would personally love to see both miles and Peter on the big screen sooner rather than later but giving miles his first solo film first with a little bit of Peter being a mentor would be great. Sort of like Tony was for Peter in homecoming. Also I would love to see more of the training that would go on between the two.

I’m conflicted about Miles in the MCU as far as his origin. I would prefer him to be paired with an older Peter so that mentor dynamic is really felt. But I also think it would be cool if Miles is from a different universe/reality where his Peter died. I think that would give Tom Holland’s Peter a bar to strive for outside of the other Peter’s he’s already met. I would definitely want his Afro-Latino heritage and culture to present and felt in a real way. I would also like him to feel like his own Spider-man, not a tag-along or sidekick.

The only way I see it working would be to have preferably Tobeys Spider-Man mentor miles in his universe. Andrew is another great option and they both have the relationship with Gwen in common. Tobey just fit the part better as miles mentor on all levels. Honestly, tobey Spider-Man doesn’t have to die but could retire. Maybe something so tragic happens that he passes the mantle to miles and settles down with his family.

Tbh Miles only works with the spiderverse. Miles Street Level Lore is recycled Peter Content except its less interesting bc he has it easier with his extra powers. Nobody buying his comics bc it doesnt have oomph. Thats why if they do it.. They gotta yie it to the spiderverse, its what makes him unique. What made the Cartoon Movie work in the first place. I highly doubt it wouldve work if it was just a rehash of what weve seen before except its now Miles not Peter.

@@ReyRey277 it’s ONLY that way to white fans. Gwen story arch is recycled of Peter but she doesn’t get doesn’t scrutinized because she a white female character. I say that her being white because if Gwen was of color there would still be issues as with miles. For these reasons and more I hope miles joins the MCU very soon and gets as much if not great success than his counter parts.

@1hiphopnow why you gotta put Race into it. I'm Asian and I know this for a fact. They've been trying to pushing these new comics but they are not selling as much as Peter at all. Street Level Miles is Lame bc it's legit Peter but with more privileges. And not to mention ALL his villains in the comics are Peter's Villains lmao. That's why the Miles Morales Game Story was so forgettable. Spider Gwen is no main character material bc she was created as almost like a spin off for the oroginal Gwen, Peters lover.

@@ReyRey277 Because it’s intrinsic to his character. If you watch Across the Spiderverse the subtext in the movie speaks to it. Why are we so concerned about sales when it’s representation that’s important? If it’s quality pieces being out and is still successful by many margins should it automatically be scrapped? Miles can still have interesting stories involving Peter’s rogue gallery. I understand your point though, I do think he should have villains specific to him. As far as Gwen is concerned there’s endless possibilities for her story to be interesting that’s solely dependent upon what the writers do with the existing materials and what creative liberties they take.

I'd personally like to see an established Peter first. The first few felt like his origin story, and it would be good to age him up a bit to a more experienced Spider-Man that feels his own as it feels like he only just found his footing, otherwise it feels too soon . But man do I desperately want a live action Silk & Miles.

Introducing Miles Morales in 4 would be cool, but I think he should get his powers around the last half of the 5th film with him learning what it means to be Spider-man over the course of the 6th film then we transition to Miles as the lone Spider-Man with Peter going off to live his life or something.

I think that should be done in Mile's own live action film. It was mentioned in this video that Miles in Spiderman 4 would be way older than he is animated and in the games, but idk maybe they could have him not have power yet as an adult, like the other spidermans in comics.

I would love to see a new character that doesn't depend on needing other characters! Think they have a good opportunity here! Since I don't really know miles I won't have any problem to see a Spidey movei like the ones with Tobi were we walked together with Spidey and his normal life issues.

9:49 I wonder which characters are most likely to get recast if there's a soft reboot. I'd imagine it's likely one of the characters who we've lost (i.e. Tony, Steve, Natasha, T'Challa, etc) or one of the ones who've have been around the longest (i.e. Thor, Clint, Bruce, etc). The issue with that tho is that most of those characters have already had ppl take up their mantle (i.e. Sam - Cpt America, Yelena - Black Widow, Kate - Hawkeye, Shuri - Black Panther, etc), so idk how they could recast those characters without stepping on the toes of the newer characters tbh (either by cutting their run short, or just by having 2 versions of those characters around).

About the recent Spidey 2; I have a voice acting background and have to say that Yuri Lowenthal's performance has been such an inspiration for me since the Prince of Persia Trilogy. The vocal training was really tough, sometimes without noticeable results for months but actors like him and the late Kevin Conroy are a great impulse to not give up. You almost saw me as Leon in those new RE games :)

also. having kingpin be a villain of spiderman in the movies will be incredible, the same actor too with the same, menacing and the fear of him actually doing serious damage like he always done when around anyone related to matt. like him just being in the same room as matt/foggy etc you felt like he was gonna brutally murder them, IF they can carry that tone to the movie, it will be amazing

Peter needs to be in his mid 30s first.. a mentor to miles ya know? He just graduated high school.. Also, Miles Spiderman story lines are kinda lame without the Spiderverse... Street level Miles Norales is legit, copy and paste but less interesting bc he has OP powers and his villains are lame..

Two concerns I have with miles in live action -Will his introduction be an origin story? Especially since we have the animated movie to go back on -Is it too soon to start fresh with a brand new interpretation of a brand new interpretation of a brand new interpretation? (Animated to Videogame to Live Action) or will it just be an approximation of that anyways?

I hope they take inspiration from the Games with Introducing Miles. Set it up in SM4 and maybe a Post Credits where he gets his powers. Use Prowler as a Villain in SM4, however, he doesn't get caught or revealed so when Miles is a Spiderman in SM5 he is a bigger Villain for Miles. Meanwhile the main story could revolve around Ned working for a company owned secretly by Fisk (maybe Alchemax) where unknowingly to him they end up creating the Hobgoblin.The movie teases Ned as the Hobgoblin, however, it ends up being Roderick Kingsley who is a new friend of Peters since the last movie (goes by Rod). This is how Ned and MJ come back into Peters life. Ned and Rod are coworkers and Peter knows Rod. Additionally, MJ works for a rival company who Fisk sends the Prowler to get information he needs. This sets up a Spiderman interacting with MJ.

Miles Morales should be teased at the end of Spider-Man 4 as a kid who lives in Peter’s neighborhood and may be the only Spider-Man fan since the city starts to turn on vigilantes. Would be a cool thing to have Miles run a spidey fan page as part of his origin story!

I think Sony doing a live action spiderverse thingie would be a great way for them to establish that there are many different spider-people and allow them to do a bunch of different projects instead of tying their property on one dude for a decade. Every now and then they could do a cross over if they feel like they want to make projects connect in some minor way, but they certainly don't need to do an avengers level thing. It would allow them to do one off's and explore different stories and characters without the pressure to make sure every movie exists in a trilogy. I think we all just want some interesting spider-people stories and I think people would me more than okay with everything not being part of some cinematic episodic universe. Also, those Spiderverse show runners? They're the ones that should show Sony how to do these kinds of movies. Venom and Morbius was a real struggle. Spiderverse PROVES that there is talent that can do this though. I don't need a 26 or 27 year old to play a 14/15 year old just because the guy voices him in the animated films. Lets give young new actors a chance to prove themselves.

Surely if NWH was set 6 months after Endgame then Spider-Man 4 would be set like 5/6 years after NWH if it’s caught up to the other films on the timeline? I doubt they’d set Spider-Man 4 only like 1-2 years after NWH when everything else is already years ahead of it. So that means MJ will have finished college by then and she’ll be back in NYC.

Spider-Man 4 sounds like it will be hyped especially for Peter Parker like I want the trilogy to focus on Miles and hopefully Black Cat including Peter interacting with Daredevil and other street level characters like The Punisher and ofc Kingpin being the main villain also can be really great since I love the street level side of the MCU but I also wouldn’t mind seeing Spidey going up against Electra, The Hand, or villain like characters in the MCU during Spider-Man 4, 5, and 6.

I think since the MCU is on the topic of the Multiverse and Incursions I think it would awesome if the way they introduced Miles Morales, is if he was a Survivor from an Incursion who had just been crowned the new Spider-Man of New York from an alternate universe, but maybe a variant universe that doesn't involve a Toby or Andrew Spider-Man needing to be killed off lol

I want them to introduce Miles live action the same way they did in Jonathan Hickman secret wars! At the end of beyond the spidey verse let a multiversal ship or maybe the tva that collected the team together, miles by accident got on the ship and they transitioned from the cartoon to live action once he leave that universe that would be dope

So, Daredevil: Born Again will now factor directly into Spider-Man 4? I wonder if _that's_ why the nixed the existing story arc as abruptly as they did. 'Cause, in order to thread these things together like they do, you can't plan your story arcs too deeply on castings and contracts you don't have nailed down. But, especially right now, Kevin is definitely going to want the best story arc he can get. And, if the original Born Again crew couldn't reorient their heads to the "new cool" (which is a common trait among creative people), then it makes sense that they'd be thanked for the work so far and let loose to do whatever else. Hell, for all we know, they may be getting lined up for other Marvel stuff. 'Cause Punisher isn't going to write/direct itself.

So happy Tom is staying, he is a really good Peter and having Zendaya continue as MJ is awesome. The real life couple bring so much chemistry to their roles, it would be unwise to split them for good, especially with all the stories they can do. Can't wait for Miles to be making his entrance to live action, I think personally though, the guy voice acting him may not be the right choice for live (hard to say as I don't know much about him), I think Caleb McLaughlin would made a good Miles. Either way, really interested to see how the next phase of Spider films pan out.

The best course of action they could do with Miles now, would be to introduce the live action version at the end of the next beyond the spider verse. He walks out of one of the portals and we get the first glimpse of our new Miles Morales. BUT Whatever conflict Tom Hollands Spiderman gets into, that is where Miles pops out into, to help Tom Hollands Spiderman.

My mom insisted that I watch this because I'm a big Miles Morales fan, so I'm here to comment what I want. More than anything, I want Marvel to not rush the movie and their crew because Miles Morales means a lot to me. I don't want them to fly through another character just for the sake of money. As much as I love Spider-Gwen, I want Marvel to also branch out on Miles' love interests like PlayStation did with the Spider-Man games. Thank you for reading my comment!

I guess the question is how many more Spidey movies will Sony have Tom Holland do. He's managed to break Tobey's record of 3 movies. (yes, No Way Home had all three Spidey's but it was technically Holland's Spider-Man movie. As for a live action Miles Morales, yes, I've been expecting him to come into the rest of the MCU for sometime. The voice actor would be nice but he is, indeed, a little old for the role unless he's in a segment from a future Miles in a movie. We'll see.

Perfect Spider-man plot: introduce Miles, have Peter start mentoring him, introduce Black Cat and the symbiote suit. The plot focuses on Miles trying to convince Spider-man to not give up on Peter Parker entirely as both his symbiote and Black Cat try to keep him as just Spider-man. There will never be a better time to bring in Black Cat who is in love with Spider-man and hates Peter Parker since nobody even remembers who Peter is. She and the suit serve as ample justification to just do what he wants and not worry about the stress of trying to reclaim his old life. Miles is just a necessary character to care about Peter when nobody else does and because it will be such a big fan service. Another conflict could even be Spider-man protecting Black Cat from Miles because of the romantic entanglement and propensity of the symbiote to cause him to behave selfishly. (She is a criminal and doing bad stuff but Spider-man doesn't care because he has a relationship with her. Miles calls him out on being a hypocrite. ) Added bonus if Ned turning into a Goblin putting MJ in danger becomes the catalyst event triggering Peter to abandon the black suit.

I think the MCU is going to do a kind of reverse House of M storyline. Liz Olsen mentioned it a while ago. They could also do the Gamora Infinity Gauntlet somehow. I don't think they will since they are atomic dust and/or paperweights. Plus, they already did the Infinity Saga. So that's probably unlikely.

In my opinion, as long as they put as much effort into making Miles feel like he did in Spider-Verse, I've got no problems. It's the _villains_ I'm gonna have problems with. As cool as the Prowler is, give him a different villain that Spiderman doesn't fight much. Like, I'm gonna suggest if he gets a movie post-Secret Wars, that he should fight his white man variant (Ultimatum). We could do him, an accurate Tombstone, Slyde(?), Janice Lincoln Beetle, and who knows who else, and have Miles take them on in a sorta "Bring On The Baddies" type movie. IDK, I just want to see a movie where Miles doesn't have to deal with the Prowler in some way.
