I remember when Civil War came out and I really didn't know what to think of this kid as Spidey. Now he has arguably the best trilogy in the MCU and is now my favorite MCU character next to Tony. I love Tom's Spidey.

In my book, Tom’s Spider-Man is true definitive version of Spider-Man in many different ways, love how he uses techniques and spider-like robots to help him fight during combat respectfully. He still makes quips just like the comics and realizes he makes mistakes just like rest of us! Can’t wait for his next trilogy.

When Spider-Man came into Captain America: Civil War, I remember being in the cinema. And the crowd reaction... was INSANE. So many people were excited to see Spider-Man finally in the MCU. 2016 was a good year for us Marvel fans. Roll on 5 years. How things have changed. For the better! Spider-Man has proved to be such a good character in the MCU. And Tom Holland is by far my favourite Spider-Man . Homecoming was the light hearted Spider-Man movie we needed. Far From Home was the more grown up version of Homecoming. With some important lessons learnt for Peter. And No Way Home was the more serious and meaningful movie where we really get to see Spider-Man mature. Still keeping with the light hearted Marvel tone. Marvel have killed it with Spider-Man . Just wish they didn't kill Aunt May, and changed what defines Peter as a hero and a character. For clarification on this. We see Peter in Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man lose the one he loves, Gwen Stacey, which gives him a grave realisation that being a superhero comes at a price. You can’t always save the ones you love. We also saw this with Uncle Ben in Toby Maguire’s Spider-Man. This had become a trope of Spider-Man’s character, which I personally felt, didn’t need to be included in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. He had already realised that he can’t save the ones he loves with the death of his close friend and father-like figure of Tony. Aunt May could’ve continued to help Peter become better, maybe she could’ve sustained a life-long injury as a reminder of the cost of being a superhero. However, it was a heartbreaking moment when we saw her die. Which was effective. I just felt it wasn’t needed, maybe the tropes of Peter as a character could’ve changed.

Anyone else prefer the suit in civil war more? It was more form fitting and rubbery, the homecoming one looked like lycra which doesn't really match the whole "hidden tech" aesthetic. Also the blue in civil war is much darker, its more of a teal in the other movies and it looks kind of funny IMO, especially when its in direct light.

Spider-Man 2 the game introduced some fun new mechanics like the flying and web launch and the symbiote stuff, I think for the game sequel something like Edith can be worth exploring and its enhanced recconaissance stuff.
