ORIGINAL INFO: A game of crossfire would be infinitely more enjoyable than this storyline.
RUMINATIONS: So you may have noticed some effects shots of Comicron One look very different than when I originally put up the episodes. Basically, the Game Show Reviewer (who did a lot of special effects for the AT4W Movie) has been playing around with the model of Comicron One - doing some stock shots of the ship at warp, in orbit, all that fun stuff. However, one of the things he decided to do was an exterior shot from this episode, wherein Nimue is disabled and the lights go out, then followed by everything turning red. Since we were coming up on the episode in the reuploads anyway, I decided to add in the new effects.
Yes, I am George Lucasing this episode, but honestly it IS the kind of thing I wanted originally and it’s not really changing anything in the story or the like - just adding in new effects. Expect one such shot in the final part of the arc, but otherwise everything else is the same.
On that note, let’s talk about our cliffhanger here. Vyce is supposed to play a larger part in the storyline currently going on in the show, so I needed to get him back on earth. As part of that, people have been saying since Nimue debuted with the HAL 9000 eye that she was going to go crazy, so I decided to play that up and misdirect people. Plus her starting to malfunction more seriously could explain why they weren’t able to find Jaeris during the Gunslinger arc despite having a warship specifically designed to track interdimensional beings. The arc words and Vyce’s reveal at the end were a direct homage to System Shock II yet again, from Shodan’s reveal there.
