This scene is barely longer than the original, is incredibly cute, and has so many character growth moments for Peter The fact that he can be vulnerable with MJ and asleep and still feel comfortable when he was so nervous with her earlier is solid progression and if Peter calling Iron Man ‘Tony’ and not ‘Mr Stark’ or ‘sir’ fully supports his arc in this movie Also that line from May “You’ll grow into them” perfectly sums up what Peter and Spider-Man needed to hear, particularly at the end of Endgame TL;DR: why would you cut this it’s adorable and amazing character growth

Aunt may's death was so devastating tbh i am kinda happy that now pete has no stark tech,no support,no money and no loved ones He is all alone being the real comic spiderman But may's death was definitely heart wrenching and honestly wished she never died He is too young to be all alone The movie had a really sad but most fitting ending its bittersweet

Everyone talking about how cute this scene is (and they're right), but how about what Aunt May says at the end? "You'll grow into them..." is the perfect thing for Peter to hear. It's exactly what his journey was about. All in all, this was one of the best, meaningful scenes. It would've been great in the movie, but at least it exists here.

They've essentially condemned everyone Peter knows to death by Spider-Man villain, and there's no going back from that. There's no way to fix it. Well, there _are_ ways to fix it, but none that won't leave the audience feeling like they did when Goose the flerken scratched Nick Fury's eye out. They dug themselves into a hole.

I mean, if I remember correctly he had already been Spider-Man for more than 2 years before getting erased in Infinity War, so she probably already knows how strong he is and probably is already used to him casually returning from fights. In a deleted scene he mentions that he was fighting against the Manfredi, one of the Crime Families in NY, those criminals in the start of the movie are probably related to Silvermane, so yeah she is probably already used to him beating up dangerous people. This actually remembers me of the Spider-Man PS4 storyline.

ik that this is late, but do you know how beautiful this scene is? Like yea, they fell asleep but earlier Peter couldn't even put on a shirt without being scared and aware of his surroundings, now he feels safe enough to be vulnerable and asleep. From their position, Peter fell asleep first. People don't recognise male vulnerability enough, he has been beaten, has almost died countless times, has lost so many loved ones and he's still in high school. And him feeling safe enough to be engulfed by darkness in the presence of his recently acquired girlfriend, defeats the whole knight in shining armour prospect, because that knight can only do so much. Peter feeling safe with MJ, and that's beauty in his character development. They definitely should have put this in the movie! edit: omg guys thank you sm for the likes!!
