In far from home they just focused more on some entertaining action scenes. Whereas the whole premise of No way home is just bonkers compared to any MCU film released till now even Endgame.

I don't know about that. I think it's more like Peter knows that when Nick Fury tries to get in touch, Nick wants him for something serious. It's funny: when this came out, everyone was saying this was the best Spider-Man movie, despite the fact into the Spider-verse came out just 6 months earlier. It's only been in recent years there's been a backlash. Even Tom Holland said this was his least favorite of his trilogy.
