Confused? LONG STORY SHORT:
My name is Jess! I had a daughter (Lilia) at age 18 w/ my high school sweetheart. We mutually split up & co-parent to this day. I met someone new, got married, had twin boys (Kyson & Kaden) and another son (Landen). He cheated, we split ways, & he’s not around much. After juggling life as a single mom of 4 for some time, I met Chris, he had 2 sons: Caden and Tommy, who eventually became my step sons. After Chris and I got married, we had our 7th child together, Addelyn. We’re one big, complicated, blended family & every second of our story is on KZfaq, you can start from the beginning here: • 8 Weeks Pregnant!
FAQ: Yes, we’re done having kids.
FAQ: Names and ages of the kids: Caden (step son, born in 2009), Lilia (daughter, born in 2010), Tommy (step son, born in 2010), Kyson (son, born in 2012), Kaden (son, born in 2012), Landen (son, born in 2014), Addelyn (daughter, born in 2016)
FAQ: Who are the dads? Gabe (Lilia’s dad), Drake (Kyson, Kaden, and Landen bio dad), Chris (Caden, Tommy, Addelyn’s dad)

@@kentuckyBee77 I can’t speak for the boys’ biological mother thinks. But I think that it’s evident that Jess loves and cares for the boys as her own and if they feel comfortable calling her mom, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. I’m sure they still call their mom “mom”, and they know the difference. It’s ridiculous to be mad at another person that is caring for you child, because all is does is cause the children stress.

Mom tip: if Landen doesn't like the way the "watch" feels on is wrist, you can put it around his ankle. ;-) That way it doesn't bother him as much (you can tuck it in the socks or put on top, depending on comfort) and he still has it on him. :-)

The ONE thing my friend warned me about when I went to NYC with her was to watch where you are taking pictures because the characters will jump in photos and then demand you give them tips even if you meant for them to be in your photo or not. Of all the things I expected to have to worry about that was not it. I absolutely adored my time in the city and can't wait to go back. So far COVID has kept me from going back but hopefully soon, until then I'll live vicariously through your vlogs (just like I do for Disney and Universal experiences haha) Thank you for being awesome!

Can confirm! It is indeed a fire department alarm/whistle. They are left over from a time when volunteers didn't have phones and couldnt be directly contacted when they were needed. All members typically live within the town limits and they would signal the whistle whenever they were needed to assemble. Fun fact. The number of whistles (times the wooooo gets loud and quiet) in a row was a code to let the member know what type of alarm they were calling for. Whether it be a car accident, medical emergency, or a fire. It helped cut down on the number of unnecessary people showing up at the firehouse. Source: live in a 100% volunteer fire company state, also a member of multiple fire companies ✌

It's the same way people are drawn to Bourbon Street in New Orleans. It's the lights, the music, the hustle and bustle. But when you actually go, you realize there's not a whole lot to be impressed with. It smells like pee, you have to watch where you walk because you'll probably end up stepping in vomit, and you'll most likely end up being asked to show your boobs for a pair of beads. I'm from the New Orleans area and once you've gone once or twice for the experience (just to say you went), it's not worth going back. But there are a ton of other wonderful, beautiful parts of the city that are so much more worth going!

I wouldn’t really put them into the same category as cosplayers - they don’t put any effort into anything & aren’t passionate like cosplayers are, they’re just there to make a quick buck. It should absolutely be illegal to grab innocent kids (& anyone, for that matter - but especially vulnerable people) like that, it’s vile. I definitely wouldn’t tar all with the same brush who cosplay though just because of a select few like that, their intentions are completely different

Definitely a normal siren sound for fire department. Grew up on Long Island(NY) and I barely even realized they were going off because it was soo normal. You’re uncle was 100% correct! NY is different because it has mostly volunteer fire fighters. California has more career fireman.

I grew up in a small town in WI and they actually have a "5 o'clock whistle" they use the fire siren like the one Jess and her fam heard, just to signal the time of the day. Not sure it they still do it, as I have moved out of the US entirely but as a child when I heard that whistle I knew it was time to go home for supper :) The siren in our town was installed many years ago, in case there was an air raid (there were a few buildings that still had the old signs saying "fallout shelter").

From a lifelong Upstate New Yorker, ~technically~ where you were was the Mid-Hudson area; above Albany is real upstate, and then closer to the top of the state is the North country! The rest of the state is a little blurrier to me, but essentially if you go out west you get to central NY, then the Finger Lakes region, and then Western NY is out toward Buffalo. There are a few others in there that I'm forgetting but that's the gist! And yes, I will fight anyone that says upstate is "anything above the city" 😂

I love that you’re where I live. The siren was how they used to call firefighters to tell them there was a fire. It’s a country thing. Haha there’s a fire house right by my moms house that always used the siren too up until just recently now they just text the volunteer firefighters

I live in a country town in Australia and we have the air raid siren for the fire station to alert all volunteers to come to the station. A small burst of the siren is a test to ensure it’s working.

I find the reaction to the fire alarm so funny. We use to live next to the fire department and it'd go off daily at noon, Tuesdays at 7pm, and of course whenever there's and emergency. I hated it during nap time but you get use to it. We live a bit farther away now and can still hear it. Everytime it goes off at none normal hours I check the scanner. 😂

Small town Ohio here. Our fire department has different rhythms for different disasters. If the siren goes up and down like that, it's usually a fire they're being called to. If it just goes up and stays up for one long sound for a full minute before it goes back down, they're letting everyone know there's a tornado warning. Very handy!

Also, made me laugh with the alarm. I lived in a small town and every Saturday at noon an "alarm" would go off and it always scared people who weren't from there. Always hilarious seeing their concern lol.

We have those alarms in our small towns - not only does it notify the volunteer firefighters that there’s a callout (most are actually medical or car accidents these days), but it also notifies everyone else, so they know to expect firefighters to be heading to/from the station.

The siren reminded me of my hometown, where every 1st Monday of the month a siren like that goes off as a test for tornado warnings, to make sure they’re working in case it’s needed for an actual tornado. People would come visit and be scared all the time because they didn’t know what it was😂 We could hear it during school and it was just normal🤷🏼‍♀️😂
