This might not excite many people, actually I bet most people didn't give it a second thought. SPOILER ALERT: But Peter puts on his suit and about to crash Liz Allen's party. And he sees an explosion far away. Usually it would cut to him swinging around to get there. And it ALWAYS bothered me because I couldn't figure out what he was swinging from. He can't be getting that far and that much distant from a tree. So they show him shooting his web into the air, and it going nowhere. So instead of him unrealistically swing from tree to tree using his webs. They just cut to a wide shot of him sprinting across the field. Because there's nothing for him to swing from. It was a small little detail that probably no one really noticed, but it really made me happy to see little details like that be looked after and taken care of.

I've always thought that Michael Keaton could play anything, and is probably somewhat underutilized in Hollywood. Just an awesome, well rounded, actor. Drama, the villain, a comedy, a superhero; dude can legit play just about any character.

I really liked it but it still had some of those Spiderman 2 problems Martin complains about. That act 3 play was really clever and actually caught me off guard. Overall I give this a full price because of how much fun it was for me and how seamless they put Peter in the MCU not as good as Spiderman 2 but still pretty high up there for me

As far as the, "Hey, May. What are you wearing?" scene, that took place shortly after the airport fight in Civil War. At that time, Tony was thirsty after fine ass Aunt May because he and Pepper had been broken up for a little while. They didn't get back together for roughly another month or two (figuring that the end of the movie is set 3-4 months after Tony drops Peter off in Queens.) So at that time, Tony could have told Peter, "If I put in a weeks worth of effort, you'll be calling me Uncle Tony." He was on a break.

Definitely the best Spider-Man movie. It has such a command over its characters and tone that it injects pure entertainment straight into the veins. Spider-Man/Peter Parker is portrayed perfectly and even the side characters are injected with so much humanity that it elevates their basic archetypes. Michelle is a good example of this. On the surface she is just another loner girl with some pieces of insight, but the way she is handled and the way that she is portrayed conveys more depth to the character than you would expect. It's that handling of the characters that makes this the best Spider-Man movie. Also the Vulture was great in this movie. Sure he doesn't get loads of screen time, but he embodies quality over quantity, and he is used judiciously and effectively to the point where it paints a great picture. The way they handled Peter's irresponsibility and how they used Tony Stark to help develop Peter's character is great. Also Queens is great in this. There are so many great little moments in this that I could continue rambling for hours. One of the best films of the year, and another mark for a great year of superhero films. P.S. the Captain America stuff was fantastic.

As someone who loves the first 2 Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies and thinks they're crazy underrated, I think Homecoming is the best Spider-Man movie.

Great review, but they hardly mentioned how great tom holland's acting was in the film.

I wish this review was more like a conversation. Korey pretty much dominated the whole review with the other guys giving minimum input. Oh well, looking forward to seeing the movie.

When Peter was stuck under the rubble I genuinely felt claustrophobic for him. When he started to panic I was emotionally affected. That scene was amazing. I defy anyone who says differently.

I have a question, does anyone else think they put Flash in the purple shirt, because Venom has been drawn as purple (due to certain lighting) before? For those who don't know. Flash was the 4th Venom. His Venom is called Black Ops Venom, because he wears it like a black ops suit, and doesn't really use venoms powers, but instead uses guns. Now, Eddie Brock, the original Venom, is the only one I know of that has occasionally been drawn in purple, but I think it might be a nod.

spiderman is called spiderman cause in the suit he is mistakened for a adult man as he was an at least in his senior year to college freshman year. tom holland is too short, it they use the same movie lens they use for tom cruise and other short guys in hollywood to seem taller then that is an improvement. andrew garfield was a great peter parker height wise/ personality. the only reason to really watch this movie for the vulture who is a great villian in his own right.

Aw, come on guys; I loved that Nickleback song ^_^ I'm going to say before watching the entire review: This is one of the few times I will watch a review before I see the movie, because, as far as I can tell, nearly the entire movie plot was shown in the trailers leading up to its release. I know Tony gives him the suit, I know that later they have a disagreement and he takes it away (probably after that fight with Vulture where he cuts the boat in half). later on he takes on the Vulture without his Tony Tech Suit, and I'm sure in the end he wins (because that's what all Marvel characters do, right?). The only spoilers in this review for me will be whatever post-credit scenes are included, but I don't mind that too much, to hear you guys go on as you do about everything ^_^ And to be the Umpteenth person to say this: Happy Nuptials, Korey! ^_^

The Peter Hammond Spiderman had a theatrical release here in Australia. It was a big deal as a kid. Running up the skyscraper was magical, none of those were around in my small town.

You know, the only thing that would have made this movie sweeter would have been an end credits scene with Flash getting his dad's car back with one of Spidey's oh so lovable notes on the shattered windshield.

Haven't seen it yet. But, based on what I've seen and heard, I've reservations about the suit. Parker being tech'd out, complete with a smart alec OS, feels a bit off the mark. Guess I'll find out if I'm right this weekend. Fingers crossed.

I don't think it was so much that Tony didn't care as it was that Tony had no idea how to deal with a teenager. He has no idea that this smart kid is going to break into his suit or lie to him or disobey him. And when he finds out that Peter screwed up, Tony just takes away the suit. Tony was trying to look out for Peter by putting a learning curve on the full functions of the suit so that he'd gain access to them after he'd safely learned how to use them (unfortunately named "training wheels.") And he did call to congratulate Peter after his Washington Monument save.

IMO This is the BEST Spiderman movie. The movie spends a lot of the time on the villian as well as the hero. All the side characters were well written and well acted (both kids and adults). Actions great. The John Hughes tone for this movie fits perfectly and it's an origin story without feeling like it's been done before. Big ass Better than Sex
