I think that's because it's so obvious it doesn't need being mentioned. It's not exactly a subtle metaphor.

In India people thought vultures evil bad luck so they killed them, almost wiped them out. Then they had a problem that dead carcasses of animals were laying around for a long time as the essential step in decomposition, breakdown by the vultures, wasn't happening. They tried many solutions even commissioning research from tech companies that looked into drones that would burrow into carcasses and implant bacteria.... basically a robot vulture. They finally outlawed killing vultures and reintroduced them.

And the scene where he drives Peter to the prom and the traffic lights set the mood as they figure each other out. Gd. Best scene in the MCU.

I was so engrossed in the film I never even considered he was her dad. Genuinely shocked!

with mysterio, i don't know, it's fine, but again making him a villian because of stark again it's repetitive, and he's motivation to me wasn't really strong as Adrian in homecoming

No. I believe is something much more complicated than that. Bc spiderman took all the naysay and turned it into character growth(hero), while the vulture uses the naysay to feed his anger and resentment at the world(villain). It also could be the age that each of them faced the challenges.

Interesting parallel. Does Tony Stark ruin Adrian Toomes life? I disagree slightly. Toomes ruins his own life because (1) he *did* overextend himself, and (2) he chose revenge via crime instead of trying to bounce back through legit means. Of course, Stark Industries should have been more lenient with Toomes as a contractor. But that was his employees' doing, not necessarily Tony's. Also, it's not quite unknowingly. Tony, genius engineer and fighter of terrorists who plagiarize his weapons, likely anticipated scavengers would be among the Chitauri ruins. Perhaps Tony was unaware of Adrian. I sensed Tony was working with the government via S.H.I.E.L.D. to prevent the tech from falling into the wrong hands -which Toomes eventually proved to be.

@@frogoat I agree, but the thing is, it's an MCU film. the message sometimes has to take a back seat in service of the characters. Peter confronting Stark at the end would've been out of character for him at that point in the story IMO. The thing about the MCU is we get to follow there characters journeys across multiple films so i think making those kinds of calls is okay.

Pete turns down his wealthy sugar daddy's suit, only to get it back anyway at the conclusion, Stark learns nothing and Toomes gets jail. Either the themes come to a head and pay off or they don't. Here, they didn't.

But that was in the past , tony was changed by the time homecoming came around. He was a hero. A clear adult who understands the mistakes he has done.

@Erik Kemeey He is selfish and that makes him human. He's been on a learning curve throughout the trilogy; it's a coming-of-age journey.

@Erik Kemeey Before that, whilst completely negligent and oblivious of the danger and consequences, he kept an unstable Chitauri energy core and wore a suit with a deactivated "baby monitor'' protocol. He was responsible for a lot of legal issues such as putting his friends' lives on the line, the damage to the Washington obelisk, the splitting of the ferry and the endangerment of its passengers. He's a pure soul who's trying to do the right thing no doubt but his actions were mostly reckless. Doing wrong things for the right reasons doesn't make you commendable in any way. He didn't have the guidance nor the humility in wielding and securing dangerous technology and facing threats. We see him impatient, full of hubris and acting on impulse. Deep down he cared about getting away from his abusive peers, being valued, ''proving" himself to Stark and becoming a full-fledged Avenger. His delusion didn't end there, he was even thinking about dropping out of high school.
