Remember it was a half priced game that ended up being free with ps plus less then a year later. The actual gameplay is phenomenal. Definitely more polished then Spider-Man PS4. The story is also pretty great but no where near as emotionally satisfying as Spider-Man PS4

I would also like to add another cool thing about Uncle Aaron's musical scavenger hunt quest line. Not only does it give lore about him and Miles Dad, each new piece you get adds a part to the background environmental music. Like for the first bit of the game until that quest, it's a slightly generic hip hop kind of beat with not much going past that. But then you find a sound and mix it and now the background has percussion, then it has louder strings, then some added sounds and beats, ect. Just go back and listen to the ambient music before, during, and after you finish Uncle Aaron's music quest. The theme legit goes from feeling like a generic kind of underwhelming beat, to actually sounding like Miles' version of the Spiderman theme.

The winter environment is definitely good while in the story, but once you're out free-roaming after completing the collectibles, it just feels more hollow than spider-man remastered. Everything is a lot less vibrant because its all blanketed in white snow, and the reflections aren't given a chance to shine as much because of the ice on the windows. Definitely *feels* less alive than spider-man remastered.

Without watching the video I'm a bit irritated by the title. Fym "Aged well" the game is only three years old, it's not even old enough to go to school. It's barely aged at all.

22:30 I actually love what they briefly id with Ganke in ATSV. There was already enough characters and plot to build up and work through, having Ganke be the "guy in the chair" would've added too much to balance. And just because you find out that your best friend is a superhero, doesn't mean you're obligated to be a "guy in the chair". That's like expecting your friends to take part in all your hobbies or for them to automatically have the exact same interest. Ganke definitely thinks it's cool that Miles is Spider-man and he roots for him, but he's not gonna be spending his time listening to police lines and working on tech for Miles. I also feel like it might have been a light jab at the MCU and Ned Leeds in the Spider-man movies. Peter having a best friend who's a "guy in the chair" just doesn't really feel right. It could work if it's handled properly. But having Peter start his career as Spider-man with people supporting him and knowing his identity at every single point makes him feel like he doesn't have room to grow on his own (at least, not until the end of No Way Home). And in all honesty, Ned became less and less important as time went on, with the focus redirecting to Peter and MJ's relationship while Ned was sort of just there with a participation award for being the "guy in the chair" (for just one movie).

If we step back and look at what's going on in the games industry as a whole, I think it's kinda insane to complain about something like Miles Morales as being a "half-sequel" or a game-length DLC. Yes, the game copies and pastes the Manhattan Island map from the first game with minimal changes. Why is that a bad thing? That map is a masterpiece, both as a game arena, and as a story-packed environment. It must have taken years to build. And I wasn't nearly done with it when I finished the first Spider-Man game. I'd far rather a game developer make a gigantic, deeply detailed map and use it for multiple games than make a sloppy, banged together map for each game. In general, I think carefully crafting a game design for multiple titles seems like a very sensible way to go. I remember back in the day when people complained that Arkham Origins reused a lot of the Arkham City map, like that was a bad thing. Time ultimately vindicated that game as a worthy entry. It didn't need to be the next evolution. All it needed to be was more of what we liked in Arkham City, to hold us over till Arkham Knight came along. And frankly, Arkham Origins had better bossfights than either of the previous two games, not to mention better martial arts combat, so it also contributed significantly to the series' evolution. Was it ultimately a game-length DLC? Yes, more or less. But I'm missing the part where that's a bad thing. Games are struggling with longer and longer development times, with Starfield taking 8 years, finally releasing to a world that has already moved on from what it was meant to offer. Meanwhile, PS5 is now two years old, with only a scant number of games that could only exist on its platform. Why? Because it just takes too long to make games. So personally, once Spider-Man 2 comes along, I'll welcome two or even three spin-off games using the same map, the same basic assets, combat model, etc, but with new stories and characters through which to experience it all. I want a Black Cat game. How about a Daredevil game, set in a smaller but denser section of Manhattan, that spends more time on the streets and less on the rooftops? What about a whole Spider-Gwen game done in the Spider-Verse style, not just one skin and one suit upgrade? They don't need to start from scratch and reinvent the wheel with every entry. They just need to be enjoyable campaigns, with enough tweaks to make the game play feel fresh.

The fane is jot without flaws but I thoroughly enjoyed Mikes Morales, I felt like he was his own character, enjoyed the story and environment, I loved it. It was definitely a worthy entry into the insomniac Spiderman up universe

The OFFICIAL timeline for this game is: Dec 24th, night - Miles receives a new suit Peter designed and stitched together himself, learns the software Peter designed and uploaded, has Christmas dinner with family. Dec 25th, day - Miles fixes trains, reconnects with Phin. Dec 25th, night - Underground blows up bridge Dec 26th, morning - Miles and Ganke begin designing the new suit, which is completed in 3 days (not to mention, how the fuck did 2 high schoolers design this super high-tech suit, with the military-grade materials that it's made from, over JUST 3 days...in their bedroom??) Peter gave Miles a brand new suit, with brand new tech, and he literally had it for a single day before deciding he wanted a different one. I know the theme of the game is individuality, and Miles finding himself and his own identity, but god damn, deciding that a DAY after someone gave you some thing they designed specifically for you? Something they made with their own hands? Something they dumped hundreds, possible thousands of their very limited dollars into, just for you?? It's like if someone gave you a PS5, and then after playing it for a day, you decided you wanted an XBOX instead.

Everyone always hates Simon Krieger because he has no motive other than money and power. Which is perfect, we've already seen revenge with 3 other villians as their motive. Li wants revenge, Otto wants revenge and now Phin wants revenge. Simon was actually a breath of fresh air, he's an asshole, person whose just a greedy prick who will do anything to make money. THATS different, he doesnt need extra motives to be someone who you want to beat up. Every reviewer hates on him but I cant get behind that. He's perfect being a greedy prick.

I actually really liked Simon as a villain, mainly because i have a soft spot for generic "im evil and an asshole and i love money" type villains. i find it more unique ironically then trying to make a villain who has actual (sometimes sympathetic) motivations. Simon is a very easily hateable villain, and i really like that and want to see it more. i DO however wish that the underground stuff was a little more fleshed out, like maybe the infiltration stuff took a little longer or something rather than ending the same mission it began.

I just wanted ot share my take as a person who is regular who played the game. I heard some people complaining about the map? im fine w the map and stuff, the map was great and needed no change, also if you changed the map it kinda defeats the purpose of the relation between the 2 spide-men, and also like half the plot is miles learning to be on his own in the city and also like the entire ending is him wanting to save his "home"??? so people complaining about that is wild to me. however yes I did find the length of the game a bit too short, I think its like 6-8 main missions in before reaching the final mission. My main critique is the price because they charged full price for it. WHILE YES it should have been its own game rather than a DLC, I found it a bit ridiculous that they charged full price for it/ charged the same for the original spiderman game. I mean I totally get why they wanted to make it shorter, so they could start working on SPIDERMAN 2 straight away, For its price either the content should be increased or the price should have been reduced. like the original price was 60, and I definitely didn't want to pay that, I would have repspectably paid something like 3o dollars instead. it just seems way more fair for the content.

if you really wanna enjoy the combat and have a challenge play ultimate every other mode is just so easy

I've been replaying this game for the past week, and I've encountered several glitches too. I hadn't had Miles clipping through buildings and getting stuck before this playthrough. Maybe a recent patch caused some issues.

here actually why it was bug after awhile playing after years not playing, and the same for rachet and clank if you delete the game and reinstall it work all much better, no idea why but after some times,it just..glitchy and load times were long in rachet game though portals as an example but one redownload it somehow all gone after opening up awhile no idea why, just how it is strangely

I am excited for marvel's spider-man two, hopefully we get a wonderful story for both our web slinging heroes must face tons of new threats. I love this game, despite its faults like the story funny enough simple is better for a spider character at least for me plus miles means a lot to me an if people don't enjoy this game its ok.

My biggest hope for the next installment in the series is that they let Peter keep all his gadgets and give him some new interesting ones as well. I found Mile's gadgets to be severely underwhelming and I found it hard to get creative with them. There is only some much that you can do with 3 gadgets and one is basically an NPC that you have no control over. Hopefully their is some interesting ones in Spider-Man 2

I won't lie, I love these games but I kinda wish they were a bit more realistic to New York. New York is a lot more lively and also you're telling me every single person in New York is nice? There's no way the criminals are the only bad people in New York, I am pretty sure there's a lot more mean people there.

Morales was definitely used better in this game than in Spider-Man 2. They sold him out for some Adidas sneakers and relegated him to side mission work which destroyed his entire character for me and soured my experience tremendously. I always look forward to this game if I get the itch to play the black and red Spider over 2 any day.

Sorry bro, you are allowed to have an opinion I am sorry you didn’t got to be satisfied with the game like others did. But miles improved a lot that was negatively affecting spider-man ps4. You really said side missions are the same as the first game lol. Side missions are the biggest improvement. They are genuinely bittersweet side missions that makes you care about the people in the community. Spider-Man ps4 did nothing like that and I didn’t even care about any side characters unlike that Asian character in ESU.

Also I hate gotham knights for this. Gotham has a whole district where pride flags are painted on the streets. Not to mention that in spiderman remastered pc there was a mod on nexus mods which removed the pride flag and nexus mods banned it because it counted as hateful content on the site.
