SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME - Andrew's Peter saves MJ - RE-EDITED With Flashbacks and Music

2 жыл бұрынA quick edit showcasing Peter "3" saving MJ with flashbacks from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and rescored with music from James Horner and Hans Zimmer.
No doubt every fan thought of this scene intercut with flashbacks from TASM2. I wanted to try my hand at it. My goal was to be underplay it and not oversaturate the scene with flashbacks, but give just enough to sell that Andrew's Peter finally has closure to Gwen's death.
The movie was really good by the way - in case it wasn't obvious.

I love the edit at 0:49 when it switches to a shot of Gwen Stacy smiling, almost as if she’s saying to Peter “I’m proud of you, you redeemed yourself by saving me in another universe.”

@@iwatommy9139 Probably the new love interest now that he's apart from MJ. It's interesting that we've never seen the comic version of Peter's relationships. In the comics Gwen just loves Peter but no Spiderman, then Black Cat loves Spiderman but not Peter and finally there's MJ who loves him in everything.

In the comics, Peter has replayed Gwen falling in his head ton of times so when something similarly happens to Mary Jane, he catches her in a safer way as to not break her neck like what happened to Gwen.

True but gwen was kinda out of reach so that was his only recourse with gwen

@@benitoluera8467 things he did differently. 1. He used his webs to gain momentum like a sling shot. 2. He pushed the debris away so it didn’t stop his trajectory. 3. He grabs MJ first instead of trying to grab the building to cushion the landing So he minimized all the risks that caused Gwen to die.

This moment was emotional in itself and Andrew, in a few expressions, made us cry with him. But this video, with all the modifications, made it even better and even more emotional. Thanks for this wonderful video.

Yeah I cried like a baby in theaters. Even to this day having seen the movie 10 times I still tear up. Andrew Garfield is incredible, amazing.

The way the TASM1 OST kicks in makes it so good! It shows that James Horner’s theme can grow on people years later, even I like the TASM1 theme more than 2 now

From the start I knew it was going to be him. I loved the Amazing Spiderman 2 regardless of what people thought about it and I always go back to that scene of him failing to save Gwen. To see this made me just as emotional and Andrew character was. I'm also very happy that they wrote MJ's character to be understanding that he was going through something emotional and not be creeped out by him showing his emotions. To me this made the whole movie more than worth it.

Andrew's acting when Gwen died truly showed the pain when you lose someone you love deeply and this just made me start sobbing all over again... his face!🥺😭 I cant! My heart!!💔

I love this version of this scene then the other ones because while those other edits use Tasm 2 heroic music, wherein this one uses the much fitting Tasm 1 theme. This edit is really emotional wow.....

He said his failure to save Gwen made him bitter and "stopped pulling his punches." I want to believe this moment sticks with him and he goes back to to his better personality. Tobey-Peter said he has a complicated but enduring relationship with his MJ. I hope Andrew-Peter's heart heals and he finds his MJ too. In the comics Gwen was his 1st love. He meets Mary Jane later.

I was stuck on Gwen's death for so many years until this scene when I watched it in theatre! It was such a liberating experience w our TASM 2 trauma really coming full circle and somewhat healed!! This edit just contextualizes it so much better for non-TASM watchers. Andrews deserves to tell the rest of his story, the essence of what Spiderman is at its core was never lost in his movies

I like the lack of flashbacks was compensated by Tobey and Andrew showing how their characters changed. That said, I think Disney could've shilled out cash for footage copyright if only for brief moments.
