Spider-Man No Way Home is Sensational - Hack The Movies

Күн бұрынTony, Kieran, and Johanna take a trip into the multiverse and discuss Spider-Man No Way Home. In this movie review/podcast they will talk about all the things that make the movie sensational. Like how the old cast returns to the old roles they popularized, how the current cast becomes closer to their comic counterparts, and how it unites generations of Spider fans.
With Spider-Man's identity now revealed, our friendly neighborhood web-slinger is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life as Peter Parker from the high stakes of being a superhero. When Peter asks for help from Doctor Strange, the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

The way that Aunt May says the "great responsibility" quote is actually the way Stan Lee wrote it at the end of the very first spiderman comic. The more common one is not the original quote.

Not sure if its mentioned in different comment but I think the way May says the "great power" line is how it's written in Spider-man's first comic appearance. Nice little easter egg for hardcore Spidey fans.

On the spider sense thing, I think that was to show how much better it works when his body is going off just instinct. Peter wasn't in his body to over think things. His body just reacted naturally.

It's actually because all Spider verse characters are totemic deities so like avatars of spider totems so his body without his spirit detected the magic most likely and guarded it self.

The scene where his spider sense went off is the best spider sense scene we've had in my opinion, because you really felt the suspense and danger Peter and Aunt May was in!

I found an explanation to Tom Hardy's Venom being pulled in by Doctor Strange's spell even though that version of Eddie Brock doesn't know any Peter Parker. In Venom 2 the symbiote shares its hive mind knowledge with Eddie. Supposedly this knowledge spans other universes aswell which means that Venom symbiote knows everything that the symbiote from the Raimi movies does.

He's rocking the Bully Maguire look for this one. I respect that. But yeah, whoever cuts his hair clearly doesn't like him very much. Remember what he looked like after lockdown? My god, his hair was butchered. SO many tufts and shaved spots.

Then tony reminded me that the quality of life is not measured in the value of other human beings, but rather the quantity of movie trivia one can shovel over his or her own trauma. I was pleased with this Spider-Man movie. Not only was it a great end to Tom Holland's Spider-Man run, but gave proper nods and characters from the other Spider-Man eras.

Aunt May says it the correct way "With Great Power, There Must Also Come...Great Responsibility" That is how it was originally said in Amazing Fantasy 15. Not sure what you guys were saying was off with what Aunt May said.

Why did she say Peter caused a lot of collateral damage and deaths in homecoming? He directed the plane to crash on Coney Island which was empty of patrons at the time... Who died? Iron Man's suit was wrinkled anytime he came out of the suit The suit inside out looks like it has a blue vest like the blue Scarlet Spiderman

I was worried when Doc got blasted by Electro that it would fry his new chip. Goblin's go to is calling people weak, Peter, Harry, Peter.. yeppers, reading that back sounds jazzy lol. I feel Tony was his loss until May's Great power moment. Which she's the only one that says the comic version. Our theater was so uninformed they gasped when seeing the shield on the statue lol! Kirsten just gave birth again last Summer so maybe that had something to do with it but, it's nice ti know she's up for returning though! :) I think at this point at the end everyone still saw the news footage of Peter being Spiderman. The first spell Peter basically said everyone who knew I was Spiderman before should still know so everyone coming through knows and the forget spell hasn't been yet cast. Venom's hive mind new he was Spiderman. Tobey mentioned fighting the alien that looked like black goo. Venom in Spiderman 3 knew.

On the subject of the Tom Holland universe's Uncle Ben; I don't think he exists for that Peter. After May dies and the other 2 Peter's are talking to him and finish the "great power" speech, Tom asks how they knew what she said, and they both reply it's what Uncle Ben said. The other 2 Peter's look at eachother and agree that maybe May didn't die for no reason. I think that statement is them implying that May IS this universe's Uncle Ben, and the end of this film (everything getting reset, he moves into an apartment broke as a nobody, listening to police scanners to fight crime) IS his post-Ben origin story. Plus the fact that she's dating Happy and never mentions anyone named Ben or an ex husband, maybe she just never married or never met him in this universe.

They strongly suggest that Ben's death was a recent thing. The suitcase he brings on his trip to Europe has Ben's initials.

My problem with most of the MCU is they all have this incredibly bland in house style. Most of the time the direction in their films is competent but lifeless and the visuals are so flat they might as well be like television footage from like a Verizon commercial. Like seriously try and identify a single directorial or stylistic decision you can attribute to Jon Watts. He’s like the defintion of a yes man. That being said this was a huge improvement on the last couple films. I have to admit the nostalgia, references, and emotional manipulation all worked on me. Every returning cast member did a great job and even someone like Zendaya, who I’ve never understood the appeal of, was much better in this. I actually could feel her chemistry with Holland. Still the flat direction/visuals and the annoying insistence on having quipy awkward humor after every dramatic beat holds this back from being truly great. Still one of the best of the MCU but that’s not saying a lot.

Great episode (apart from yet another grizzly Spider Man death) with my favorite 3 way, Johanna and Kieran have a great back and forth especially. Watched it last night for the first time as wasn't able to see it at the Cinema. Not perfect, but they handled the other characters brilliantly and was the best MCU Spider Man yet. Excited for more Spoddermanz.

Weird. I liked the Star Lord episode, and felt the Thor episode was so bad I almost stopped watching the show. It was close to unwatchable it was so out of tone from the universe.

I enjoyed this movie a lot and I'm not a huge MCU or super hero movie fan. Best not to think about the the whole multiverse and time travel-ish stuff because it doesn't make a much sense, but that stuff never does. My only issue was the end was so dark (as in not very bright not the tone) and the action was so fast I couldn't tell Tobie and Garfield apart as their suits are so similar. And yes I get that was probably deliberate to an extent but it annoyed me a little.

I really liked this movie, but a solid 8/10 for me. Wish more action with the villains occurred. I still stand with spiderman 2 being my favorite and then Spiderverse in 2nd place. Then either Spiderman 1 or No Way Home in 3rd place
