A one-minute video overview about the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Spider-Man's Web-Shooter, its powers, abilities and characteristics as depicted in the MCU movies, and Avengers expanded universe.
Designed and built by gifted 15-year old Peter Parker, Spider-man’s web-shooters are the wall-crawler’s primary offensive and defensive weapon, projecting a payload of synthetic spider-webbing - contained within a pressurized cartridge located within the webshooters on each of his wrists.
The synthetic webbing emulates the silk that is created by a common spider, toting a tensile strength greater than that of steel, with an elasticity that allows Peter to utilize his web in a rubber-band like fashion - to disarm enemies, or strategically catapult and launch himself.
Tony Stark improved upon Peter’s web-shooters, providing the wall crawler with an upgraded design that had increased durability, as well as a built-in Spider signal.
Marvel movies featuring the web-shooters are:
- Captain America: Civil War (2016)
- Spider-Man Homecoming (2017)

Great observation - Tony Stark works as a movie screen writer's (comic book writer) dream plot hole-filling device. If something must be built, have him build it. If something needs to be bought, have him buy it.

Minute Explained But it doesn't make any sense that a 15 years old kid was able to create something even the scientists couldn't
@isaboll1
@isaboll1 6 жыл бұрын
By that same logic, 15 year old Jack Andraka should have never been able to develop a more accurate and cheaper pancreatic cancer test, where as scientists in similar fields couldn't (real life example), or Taylor Wilson at age 14 wouldn't have been able to become the youngest person who had created a nuclear fusion reactor (another real life example). given that both of these kids did stuff like this in our world, it doesn't take much suspension of belief to think peter parker made a synthetic fluid that's the closest in properties to spider webbing at his age, as others say it does. The only issue would be how he could afford to do so, but that could also be solved with clever writing such as the reason in homecoming.

I agree that Andrew Garfield is a fantastic actor, and feel that he was really hindered by a weak script. I felt like Tobey Maguire played a good Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield Played a good Spider-Man, but feel that Tom Holland has the best combination of the two.

Minute Explained really? I like tobey as spiderman better cuz he seemed like the super hero at his prime and an adult. Granted Tom was just now introduced to this mega series so I guess I'm being unfair
@MinuteExplained
@MinuteExplained 7 жыл бұрын
Tobey was a GREAT Spider-man, and I feel portrayed a good take on Spidey from earlier comics (Sam Raimi was a huge fan of earlier Spidey comics). However, I like Tom because his "wisecracks" seem to come off naturally as a kind of 'nervous energy', kind of like when you just say things that you don't mean when you're in an awkward situation or when you're in over your head. I don't know if this was their intention - but like you said, only time will tell. If Homecoming is horrible, then Tobey for the win!

Ponchi because he doesn’t get the power to shoot webs he makes mechanical web shooters to be able to do that. Read the comics or are you only capable of watching one movie and deciding that’s all the proof you need.

It makes no sense, Spider-Man should not need web shooters because Spiders can obviously make their own webs naturally. In some of the old comic versions he could spin his own webs by himself and many different levels of tensile strength and various designs, thickness, length and what not. It makes perfect sense I mean he inherited all the abilities of a spider so he should not need to make web shooters.
@MinuteExplained
@MinuteExplained 7 жыл бұрын
That's also why I didn't mind the Tobey Maguire Spidey when I heard his webs would be organic (just lucky the webs happen to come out his hands than his arse). However, in the comics, the spider that bit him transferred the biological knowledge of how to manufacture webbing onto Peter - which Peter later applied to the web-shooters. If this is the case for the new Tom Holland Spider-Man, I'll be really happy.

honestly i think organic webbing makes more sense logically!!....with all the powers of an actual spider that altered his physiology WHY won't he be able to do the one thing that spiders definitively do??.......i'm pretty sure they could of come up with an acceptably plausible reason for the organic web as opposed to just saying som dumb stuff like he's a genius so he "magically" invented webs from the raw materials of Godknowswhat!!!!!!
@MinuteExplained
@MinuteExplained 7 жыл бұрын
I agree that it makes sense that he would be able to produce organic webs. However, I'm not sure they would come out of his arms...
@ashayakc2444
@ashayakc2444 6 жыл бұрын
Mr Grandi Honestly I hunk you need to do a little bit of research. Spiders do not have spider senses. Neither do they have exceptional strength. The only ability other got that was spider related was the ability to cling to walls and even that wasn't 100% spider like as he sticks to walls using electron bonds which he is able to control not with hairs like spiders.
@mrgrandi
@mrgrandi 6 жыл бұрын
Ashaya KC so what power should spiderman actually have then???..............................no super strength....no sixth sense......no wall clinging..........the point i'm making is that the concept of a spiderman on the whole wont make sense in real life and i know that but for the sake of comic books and the fact that spiders do create webs then that should be the main power that spiderman has......as for his other powers well they dont bother me that much

I actually prefer that he made mechanical web-shooters because it shows that he is also smart and that intelligence is one of his qualities. Besides it would be weird if he shot webs from his behind. Why would they develop on his wrists out of all places. Also why would he need to do a certain hand gesture to shoot them. These can all be explained by mechanical web-shooters not organic.
