This is one tough stitch that you are going to love! The Spiked Crossed stitch pattern uses standard crossed double crochet stitches, but worked in the spaces between the crossed double crochet stitches below.

For this tutorial I will be using a 5 mm Birchwood crochet hook by Rowan Yarn and the Pima Cotton by Lion Brand Yarn in a single colour.

Thanks for another great tutorial! I'm thinking a grocery bag would be perfect with this stitch using cotton yarn and a lightweight wrap using a 3 weight yarn would be perfect for cool nights. I appreciate your time and enjoy my Sunday mornings with you,!

I can totally see a glamorous clutch in a metallic gold yarn that's a 5 weight polyamide/polyester. This stitch pattern will will add structure & strength.
