The reason it ended is because Zach Callison (Stevens voice actor) wanted to permanently leave steven universe voice acting to help his mental health

@@MotherChicken3000 No, that's just what Disney said. It was actually exposed they had to rush things because Disney pulled the plug for the Garnet wedding kiss. At the time they thought they could get away with it but saw the money it brought in and threw them a cheap dinner bone after the movie after the movie was supposed to be the actual LAST instalment of the series. It's also why Alex Heirch REFUSES to work with them again and the Owl House director also exposed it as well. Rebecca Sugar also talked on it as well. Yet everyone wants to point at the Steven VA like THAT is what caused it.

Steven Universe Future did actually show how that worked but I feel like it overall needs some work. Some things weren't shown in the best way. Such as where Steven becomes a gem monster. I feel like they could've done something different with how he behaved in his gem monster form. Instead of attacking beach city, like anormal gem monster, he could have instead been hostile towards the people who were around him since they reminded him the most of how he felt like he was slowly drowning in his stress and anxiety in an attempt to escape his problems. I feel like things like that have a few issues. I do agree with you but I feel like future could have gone better.

@Kaylakay12 true. The gems could have just assumed that he was just going to attack the city(since it was stated that he can't reach the city). And this does show some self destructive behavior

A gem seems to only have so much flexibility with how far they can grow or shrink normally. That and the gemstone would remain the same size, so they'd look awkward either way.

I get a lot of opinions but i don't see what greg did wrong. He's a good dad for steven, a good partner with rose, his music passion is interesting, he's overall just a really calm and kind character.
