"Your sweet heart" caused me to cry. I met with a therapist today and finally made the most difficult choice of my life, one that I have been thinking and hurting about for years. It is one that requires sacrifices and courage, and I have to believe in my ability to do it. Believing in myself has always been hard. My inner child does have a sweet heart, and I was called that by my Nana, who passed away. Everything is about to be very stormy due to my decision, and staying centered will be crucial. I remember when I was a little girl hanging out at the neighborhood kid's house. I would start laughing at something that was said and then get laughing and laughing where I couldn't stop and rolling on the floor. It was silly, yet pure joy. That's the feeling state I want to bring myself back into.

The purpose of life is self mastery. But many are not taught how important self-love and self-empowerment are. Many are trained to be people pleasers while compromising our own needs, feelings, and desires. Generally, these same people would never do the same for us. Our shadow side is often fed by these needs not being met that we have experienced all our lives. We are taught to supress instead of nourishing them.
