With ten inches of snow forecast, I headed to northeast Georgia to create my first winter music video. The snow symbolizes the purity and beauty of God's gift of grace and forgiveness. "Spirit of Grace," from the album "Open Spaces," was inspired by Zechariah 12:10 -- "I'll pour a spirit of grace and prayer over them" (The Message).

I heard this music in a yoga class, and it's too beautiful to forget so I went home and found this clip. It's really peaceful and positive, and I'm glad it's inspired by the Scripture, Spirit of Grace, thank God we have you, Stanton.

Hi Stanton. This is such a lovely piece. I keep coming back to music from both "A Thousand Years" and "Open Spaces" to use as church prelude music. I'm doing this piece on Sunday. I must admit, however, to transposing it to G instead of Gb (so much easier!). Curious as to why you wrote it in 6 flats, along with other pieces? Maybe just felt it that way I suppose. I'll take one sharp over six flats any day😃

Thank you very much. I am grateful and honored my music continues to be a blessing to you and that you enjoy playing it and sharing it. I compose by ear and use a variety of key signatures. Great and interesting thoughts on your compositional process! Indeed we have to go with what seems to be the creative path and see where it takes us. I was wondering if you by any chance have the french horn music for Singing in the Ocean Deeps? I've never learned that piece yet but recently starting looking at it and it'd be awesome to perform it with a horn player. @@StantonLanier

Hi Keith, I don't have the French horn sheet music for Singing in the Ocean Deeps, but there are not a lot of notes, and a horn player would be able to find their part to accompany you. I hope this comes together for you! - Stanton

Yes, I have heard this piece. Ludovico Einaudi is a very popular and well known pianist from Italy, known for his minimalism, and beautiful melodies. Blessings! - Stanton
