What I like the best about Bruce's teaching is that he just gives you what he knows that works for him. He will give you the information he has and shows how it is used as meditative practice. Then it is up to the student to use that information in their own daily practice. Or not. So, in essence, it is about the teacher handing the tools over, but you still have to go and build something. That may not work for everyone, and it took me a long time to get to the point where I could really use what he's giving. This video may seem a little extraordinary but it's not easy to condense 30+ years of Martial Arts, Meditation, Study, Teaching and Travel into 30 minutes. He also might not be for everyone also because everyone is in a different place with their practice. There are some other good teachers out there in various disciplines, the Taoist approach is not the only way to get there. I just find for my experience it is the fastest way I've found so far.

He will give you his knowledge, but I have this nagging suspicion as a new comer to daoism and internal martial arts, that the best teaching he can offer... you have to pay for.

One more thing: it is easy to see where someone is in their practice. Not just spiritual concerns alone, but how do you interact with people? How do you function at your work? Are you physically and mentally healthy? Do your intimate relationships grow well in friendship and marriage, etc.? Real life gives the test, these are the questions we all dealing with, so what are your answers based on how your life actually works? NOW, once you are physically and mentally very healthy then you can start real spiritual practice.

he was a Taoist lineage holder who was a master of bagua, taiji, hsing i. I actually saw the video in this interview and Liu shows up in it some times. Personally I don't know much, just what Bruce has said. There might be other information out there.

daboodeef179 on his website he says his teacher studied outside the monastic system of daoism and doesn’t mention any lineage. Funny.

believe it or not his most important teacher took out a classified ad in one of the old black belt or inside Kung Fu magazines where he disavowed Bruce Kumar frantzis and said he was not of moral quality and he shouldn't have taught him he regretted having taught him true story
@Inubiz4 жыл бұрын

Erik Johnson , well notice his students just call him Bruce. Nobody calls him master or, cringiest of all, sifu. Nothing makes my skin crawl worse than hearing white students call a white teacher sifu. It's so obvious they just want to live out their hong kong cinema fantasies.
