I'm half way through the Mara Effect and loving it!
Well to be completely honest I recorded this before going on Holiday at xmas, and got really sick on Holiday, so I'm still recovering but so thankful that I recorded ahead!
Looking forward to posting new videos after this amazing week of the Mara Effect Trilogy!

I agree! It'll make a great follow-up to these recorded versions. It shows how tight they are as a group as well. Look for "Live At Silverside Sound"

when you listen to the whole trilogy on your own time you'll see how all 3 songs flow together, one into the other. there's another song called 10:16 that goes between part 1 and 2. once you hear the whole piece together it just elevates it even further.

The way Courtney hits the "Saaaaaaayyy" in the chorus hits so good, both in this and the live version. Even though it's different they both have their own special feel. Such a great band

Although we all love this band obviously well all have our favorites for various reasons. This studio version of Mara pt 2 is what pulled me fully in with them and it's the musicianship on display. First those changeups the heavy kick in the chorus that adds a sledgehammer to her inflection and the lyrics themselves grabbed me at the point in life I found them at. That "the hour will come, look over your shoulder, there's no need to run anymore" literally just drives into me every time. Awesome vid brother the sporadic scaling does throw some people off but it's actually grown on me tons lol

Awesome to see part two! I heard the studio versions first as well, but to answer your question as to whether there is a better way to do it -- the best way to hear the trilogy is the live version at Silverside Sound (myself and others have already mentioned it, I know -- last time from me, I swear haha) because not only do you get a bunch of cool little moments that don't reflect the same in the studio version, but you get to hear their interlude titled "10:16" between part one/two. The performance is a totally unique experience, in my opinion. I enjoyed the content, as always! I'm excited to see part three! 👍🤘

Something you might like to check out is this Rock Band from Monterrey MX - The Warning ⚡️ (Now signed with Lava Records) 🤘🏻 This impressive trio of sisters - Daniela 20 (guitar, piano and vocals), Paulina 18 (drums, piano and vocals), Alejandra 16 (bass, piano and vocals), They have elaborate musical affinities. And have participated in some of the most important rock festivals in Mexico such as Vive Latino, Hell & Heaven, Mother of All, Pal Norte, Force Fest and Rock al Parque in Colombia. Great, great band suggestion! The Warning is indeed impressive and well worth a listen! From the list provided, I'd suggest starting with "Dust to Dust" as it is their prologue song to their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene. Thanks! 👍👌🤘✊

I have to agree and say these youing ladies will turn your head and have you tapping your foot! They also have 2 songs on rockband 4: Survive and Free Falling. During their De(tour) performance Lzzy Hale popped in and said rock is safe in their hands and she would love to tour with them when this covid BS is over with! but i would start with Dust To Dust personally or Dull knives

A bit more info on The Warning As you are a bassist yourself I have to give some details about The Warnings bass player. Alejandra Villarreal (16) she started playing age 7ish starting with a short scale fender that was taller than her. Later moving to a gifted Spector EURO4 Rachel Bolan, at 13 years old is the youngest ever Spector Artist and is currently featured on their website. She now has a Spector USA Custom 5 string and will soon be releasing a Signature Spector bass. The Mara effect 1 2 and 3 need's at least 2 to 3 listen's before you appreciate the virtuosity that's on display.......another band that had the same effect on me being Babymetal Tales of destinies Great reactions RJ! ;0)

yeah I feel you...that beginning section is in 6 (I think) and it always feels like its dragging just a tiny bit but her vocals seem to make it flow still. I think it was even more noticeable somehow in the live version but that might have been the slightly different drum patterns used there. It's still a great song it just has such an interesting rhythmic pattern its hard to lock in at first

I love songs that mix it up, this one definitely takes some time to master
