These songs gave me something to cling to during some pretty dark times in my life. The Japanese woman's face on the cover (the sculptor's wife), was one of the reasons why I moved to Japan. 19 years later, I'm still here. Cheers Spaceman.

They always say never meet your heroes but I got to meet J. Spaceman through a friend backstage at a Barbican tribute to Sun Ra. This particular hero was not a let down. We chatted about various NSW subjects for about an hour but as this has always been my fave album, I asked him why it bombed. He laughed and asked me if I knew the release date? I replied in the negative, somewhat puzzled. Sept 11th 2001. Not a good day for things coming down hahahahah. He was great, and I walked on air for a few days and we even exchanged a coupe of emails. Bless you Jason, you make a loud noise in a silent way. @caleb.selah
