Did you say you were boosting 20khz a bit? If it because it's for theater and it's Orchestral music? That's unheard of in pop-rock-edm, Anyone else finds this strange?

Hi from France. Not so strange. The mastering engineer i work with got a massive passive, and some years ago i was looking at the pots on it, i was asking the same question when i saw 27k on the face plate. He answered simply that, as if we’re not able to hear this frequencies, electronically something happen in the high end. I experience it at each mastering session. Something in the air is added that can make huge difference. Some eq can add 32khz.

Sadly it will all end up as MP3 on Spotify or the other ones .... I think these guys should really promote another uncompressed format considering the work that's gone into their mastering .
