Hej hej. Could you do a video about data link systems that could be added to 4th gen fighters and how that could work in game. I have an idea of it being a fov extension to your radar outside your search zone where enemies detected by friendly data link capable aircraft are displayed. Some datalink systems are more and less accurate and maybe with diffrent sizes to this datalink area on the radar. Thank you!

By the way A-7D might do better than this thing even (similar loadout stuff but just subsonic)

This is one of the reasons I'm going to click off this video, dude complains about small maps then goes and says the big maps are too big and a waste of time. You can't complain about one thing then complain about the solution with literally the opposite of the original complaints complaint. If that makes sense.

Lets take your own quote of spit's statement : 'jets are faster and capable of BVR engagements' . Which one of these planes are capable of BVR engagements? Most planes and that BR bracket have AIM-9 G/J/L who will be 3-4 km range, with the exception of the AIM-9 L that might be 5-6km range. You need a powerful radar set with long range semi active/active radar guided missiles such as what the F-14 gets. The issue is that maps like these have been put at BR's where planes don't have the BVR capabilities to do any BVR engagements. I don't see how one statement mutually excludes the other, there is a place for large with more BVR capable planes being added at max BR, its just not suitable at this BR.

@@kannonfodder4198 sure the map is too big for that BR, but in terms of top tier it is a very good map, second of all, it will make the transition to newer and newer jets more seamless, so that we don't have gen 4's flying the same maps as WW2 era prop planes

And of course just J-Viggen and A-Viggen.... though that moght become harder if more variants are added

Planes that are BVR capable start at 11.0 not 9.0, everything below usually carries short ranged missiles.

@@allena5545 That wasn't the point anyway. But at 9.0+ jets become fast enough that the small furball maps aren't ideal for gameplay with them.

From what I’ve heard, in real life they’ve never gotten a confirmed top speed of AJ-37 Viggen. Because whenever they tried reaching it, they would still be accelerating significantly by the time they’d run dangerously low on fuel.

It has the most thrust out of any single engine in the game pretty sure,

@@collander7766 You are only looking at nominal thrust of the engine when mounted on a test bed. That does not always accurately reflect the actual thrust when in flight.

But that is what sim is for. It would be difficult for newer players to do well if the rb was how you wanted

If you are open to advice, i recommend the J29A, then J29F to unlock the aj37. J29a is pretty much uncachable at its BR and you can do some good tricks with combat flaps as early as 600 km/h. J29F is a bit less competetive but easier in how to use it. Also has Aim9B's Sadly the lansen doesn't realy work out (for me at least) as it has no flares bad missiles turns like a brick and is very slow. Hope this helps!

ffs, i need to vent. Sorry, but you're the only one i saw talking the lack of tracers. I just unlocked it, AND I CANT HIT A FUCKING THING ! How do you use the gun against planes, i dont know where to shoot, i dont know how much lead i need to do.... Damn, that's so infuriating !

@@Katherinanya hello. This comment is quite old at this point so now after around 11 months later I have the ja37D and am halfway through to the Gripen. The Swedish 30 mm is incredibly random. Due to mostly 2 factors, no tracers and the gun changing position depending on what kind of jet you play (for example the J35A has 2 canons implemented in the wings but the J35D only has one cannon on the left side). What semed to help me was to activate Vertical Targeting and have gun zeroing at 800 M. This took a little bit to get used to but the VT and zeroing made it so I barely had to compensate for drop which eliminates one of the problems. One thing I also had to train my brain to do is ALWAYS lead more than you think you need to because even if you miss your first shots the second burst might hit. Going back to the different canon placements on the jets, the ja35D gun is not in the belly of the jet as it usually is but is instead on the left side, like the AJ37s gunpod. The high velocity from the gun makes it fire on the left side of the target if the target is to close to you. For example you meet an f5c in a head-on, you have vertical targeting on and guns zeroed at 800. What I usually do is wait for them to be around 9-600 meters away before firing a quick burst just off-set and above the target and then pullout from the headon. Alot of the time they dont even see you fire so they won't pull after and just run into the 20 rounds of 30 mm rounds. As for a prolonged dogfight I would say conserve ammo, never waste more if you are too unsure about the hit. Simply tapping when you can eventually crit them once or twice. It's better to pull out of the fight with ammo left instead of being in the dogfight when you just burned up 150 rounds into nothingness. Godspeed my dude, I hope my tips can help you

@@Katherinanya also in the headon. Sometimes if you have vertical targeting you have to aim below the target (not by much but around where your top crosshairs touch the target). This is pure chance and me guessing if it's going to miss or hit, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt

It is not modeled correctly. It should have 18 flares and a MASSIVE CRAPTON of chaff which is stored in rolls in the middle section but oh well...

@@zahnatom yep its supposed to have like 400 chaff its the same for the a32a it should have about 450 per pod so 900 total but only gets 32

@@einar8019 its unfortunately hard to prove to gaijin because its not a set value of chaff packets but rather just rolls that get pushed out of the end and break off into small pieces... also about the flares: they could be double stacked but idk thats just speculation

As long as it's just in supersonics, yeah. Trying to cross the whole map at 700km/h in a subsonic jet is painful. The only other thing is that the AA is way too lethal, you can't go ground pound if you don't want to spend time spotting dots.

Whilst this is true, remember that planes below them can’t do anything against them and most of them can’t out turn the planes or out run the missiles. Sad days
