South African 2013 Volvo FH13 520 with 8 inch loud pipe starting up and pulling away. Super sounding rig hauling a load of maize with a bottom dumper interlink (B-double) with a gross weight of 56000kg (123200lbs).

In Australia, Volvo offered the FH with a Cummins engine with a manual 14 speed range & splitter gearbox. Probably the best ever offer. Period.

i can never get enough of the volvo fh sound 16 years of true volvo experience will definitely stick in your genes ......forever if you drive to Katima Mulilo or Oshikango in Northern Namibia or even Mazurabane in Zimbabwe ....its a feeling of the open road at your fingertips.....truly lovely stuff

Jis Manie, daai ding brul!!! Mooi man. Toe ek laas in 1997 trok regry het, het hulle nie so good geklink nie. Nie eers die Peterbilt met 'n N14 - 435 Select wat ek gery het nie. Ek mis nog al die jarre daai turbo klank. Goeie dae gewees

Effen Bamm no mine has the emission controls on it; but it's been deleted but it still doesn't sounds like this truck here...

@@chadholland6847 you gotta completely take the dpf off or find a way to run a pipe straight through it... the dpf material will still muffle the sound even with it deleted.

I wish All Volvo engines could sound like this in the US... I have a d13 vnl 780 but it doesn't sound no where near this...

Chad Holland most probably because it is a Euro4 engine. They sound different than Euro5 & 6

Cuz our engines are snuffed out by that dpf and def box. I am bypassing that stuff on mine cuz it has been nothing but trouble. I will post a vid of its sound.

Yes delete it I deleted mine and put a straight pipe on I’ll upload video for you. I have d13 engine too.

Holy smokes this thing sounds incredible! What's the engine and transmission,Volvo D13 and 12 speed? Love that turbo spool as it pulls away!

Stock D13 en 12 speed I-Shift. It does sound much better than I had anticipated. I had to take the stock muffler off, because it broke at the bottom. Didn't had one in stock in my shed so I put the 8 inch pipe on which was in stock in my shed. Just made a modified bracket to fit the original Volvo exhaust upright bracket behind the cab.

In Deutschland sicherlich verboten, eine Abgasanlage mit dem Sound. Hier wird das als "Lärm" deklariert.

Great man. Yeah the Swedish brands are the most popular for heavy trucks in South Africa. International and Freightliner was the most popular but they don't sell them here anymore so the Volvo and Scania are the top sellers at the moment.

@@spitoinkr There's a reason why Swedish companies usually go for Swedish brands as well. Scania and Volvo are by far the best selling brands here. Especially for heavy duty. It's much better if you can get 730 or 770hp from a Scania or 700 or 750hp from a Volvo than 530hp from a Daf. Excavation trucks and lumber trucks are usually Scania or Volvo as well, and it's rare to see them with less than 600hp.
