Hello guys, i'm 44 years old and i'm from montreal of course, growing up i played hockey from the age of two and started watching hockey on tv in the season 1982-1983 at the age of 6. My first idol was Mats Naslund but Chris Nilan was as loved as the team stars and still very popular in Montreal. A true warrior. Superb interview boys, it brought back a lot of beautiful memories. I was 9 years old at the 1986 Stanley Cup, it was my first cup and I still remember it very well. Chris Nilan, one of the most popular players to play in Montreal in the 80s-90s. Thanks for the memories.

My NHL fandom started at age 6 as well in the 1986-87 season. The Leafs beating St. Louis in the playoffs that year on the strength of Ken Wregget's goaltending is my earliest hockey memory. Also watching the Cup finals that year between Edmonton and Philly with my Dad is another memory that sticks out.

What a story about the gracious kind judge; and Knucks, unaware, wouldn’t have been drafted, gets a break, so proud, rightly so, that he was drafted, makes it to every hockey kid’s dream, and plays 13 years in the Big NHL. Has a seemingly great life and finds out the background story at the judge’s funeral. Rags to riches. HOLLYWOOD!! Thanks Knucks!

Being a life-long Bruins fan, I'm familiar with Chris Nilan but this interview provided a lot of information I was unaware of. He's battled a lot in his career but his battle with addiction is equally impressive as those he's had on the ice. I'm so glad he has been winning that battle.

Disagree. Even Nilan said it himself, Wilson crossed the line. Nothing wrong with being physical but Wilson has no honor or integrity when it comes to his physicality. Willingly engages with smaller or less capable opponents but picks and chooses when to throw down with guys like Reaves or Martin. Cowardly.

I frankly don't think it was a particularly horrible play on Wilson's part. The problem I have is with the fine. Wilson's a repeat offender. He was literally suspended this year. So when Parros gives him a fine, that's an admission that the play required supplemental discipline. And, when you're disciplining a repeat offender, it's supposed to be with a stiffer penalty. So it makes next to no sense for the play to warrant a fine.

02:03:00 NHL is a business of friends. They hire who they know. Brian Burke hired a low-key coach like Ron Wilson. No problem. On the other hand Bob Hartley (one Stanley Cup with Colorado) still works in the Russia League, not able to get a position in the NHL. I deeply respect Chris Nilan but regarding the language issue of the coach position i don't follow him. But please, reinvite him. He's got lots of stories to tell i am sure.

I don't agree with painting all fans with a broad brush, but agree with Biz on the pandering. As for Whit's take on the structure of the Rags, well, they sure improved themselves after this. Damn you, Wilson. SNL's whole brand seems to be getting progressively worse, and just so dull. Your whole thing is getting famous, rich people on to get ratings and therefore have a job, your bosses aren't paupers, and you don't want to be, either.
