Good news! Our Embankment Splash Park is being cleaned ready for another awesome summer after NNC decided that £30,000 worth of repairs can wait until next year.
More good news! Wellingborough's worst public footpath leading from Nene Court to the Embankment has finally been cleared so that wheelchairs, pushchairs and other modes of transport can use the highly used footpath.
Now for the coincidence....... before I start, a big thank you to The Embankment Cafe for bringing this to my attention. Whilst majority of us have our minds focused on the High Court Case over the felling of historic Lime Trees in 5 days time (Tuesday 30/4/2024). Three planning applications have been put forward from the developer to NNC. These plans seem to be what we protesters were asking to see during the protest last year (I don't know the full ins & outs but I have my thoughts 😂). The strange coincidence is that a Wellingborough Town Council meeting is planned, at where these strangely timed plans will be discussed....the very same day of the high court case. 🤔
Below are the planning applications in order of what I feel is important first. I urge you to comment on each application intelligently or you can air your thoughts at the Wellingborough town council meeting 7pm Swanspool House 30th April. You must contact Wellingborough Town Council if you wish to speak at the meeting because all words spoken are wrote down officially.
