Glitches like this makes me wish the hub world was so much bigger. There's so much detail we never get to see, like those parked cars!

Guys this hasn't been patched it still works, he doesn’t explain that you have to keep holding the jump button when switching weapons.

It’s funny when the inkling gets the special in slow motion it sounds like he’s saying SQUEEEEZZZE!

The thing I wonder the most is why all those things up there have collision to begin with. Seems a little odd considering you're never supposed to be there, but hey it lead to this so... Thumbs up from me!

I crashed the game, clipped right outside the building then and then the special gauge was full so I used my special. The special was ink jet. For some reason special gauge stayed full so I was on my ink jet forever. I explored a lot. Then screen got messed up and there were random colors and objects everywhere. WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!?!

If you're watching this in the future for whatever reason like I am, it's been four years and this still works

it's not on a map or anything so maybe there's a chance it won't get patched let's hope

What I don't get is why Nintendo made a lot of background for something that your not supposed to be able to access, and why did they make some parts of the roof physical? I feel like Nintendo did this on purpose, but ya never know.

I like to think that nintendo went out of their way to make all these pipes physical just because they thought "Welp, betcha someone will find a way to go up here"

07/25/2019 *Glitch NEWS!* There's a lot of people saying that it was patched. It's still working, but it's really hard. Not impossible, just hard.

U can die in testing labs.. Hmm.. It is really the biggest glitch I do say

CMON NINTENDO JUST LEAVE THIS IN! This doesn’t even effect anything! This is the testing area! Just leave it in!

Ok so after a few hours of trying, I have some tips. First, it has not been patched. I was able to do everything in the video. When trying to do the first jump, hold the jump button after switching weapons. I think you get another jump, but be sure to immediately go into squid form to barely catch the ledge. A beakon will not fit on the ledge. It feels faster when using the E-liter to wait for the ink to fill a bit. The full ark in front of you, and three shots over the right wall is enough to fill the special gauge. When using the jet to get onto the ducts after the first jump, you do not need to go all the way to the box. The duct perpendicular on the way has collision and is easy enough to land on. For the clip with the inkbrush, you actually do not need the brush. It is easier to use the Tenta Brella. You can use a technique similar to the one to get onto the roof. Which is squid flop, and fire. Once your down from the duct in the corner, you just need to go into squid form and try to use the sub. It won't deploy a beacon, but it will clip you down. You also don't need the beakon on the duct, but it is very difficult, and I recommend it. Some other tips is that there is only enough turf to fill three ink jet meters. Reseting will remove beakons. With a weapon with beakons, jumping to one will destroy it instantly. But without beakons, it takes two jumps to destroy it. I think that is all I want to say, as I want people to have fun with the glitch, so I won't spoil everything.

I recommend using the Splash-o-Matic and the E-Liter-4K Scope as they both need 170p to get their special.

What if you tried jumping to the beakons up there and activating a splashdown mid-jump? Could you get onto the ceiling?

Wow! I’m amazed by this glitch. So weird they textured that too, i wish you could get out the map, but don’t think it’s possible but im giving this glitch a try!

Nailed the first part after a few tries and went to this video on advice for the second part before i went any further. Cool find, I must say, and I'm just about as surprised as anyone else on why there even is collision this high up and even out of the players' reach, let alone the scenery outside which the player, at any point, is unable to see without doing this.

Amazingly, Nintendo NEVER patched this, and it will likely be in Splatoon 2 forever now lol. Plus, you can access this room even when your offline, so it'll always be possible, even years later when the online service inevitably closes.

I have always thought how cool it would be able to actually fully explore out of bounds areas if the floor had collision

The hardest part of this for me is getting up to the rafters during the second inkjet.

It's really cool how they added the death animation in this room even though you can't normally die.

Why do people dislike that that video is not clickbait it works (at least shown in the video) and has good quality and sound I literally see so reason to dislike lol?

Hey here’s a tip if anyone sees this: When your filling up your special for the ink jet, use the splash-o-matic. It has the least amount of points you need for filling it up (170 points for the special). And when your filling up the ink jet again right here ( 0:56 ) using the custom e-liter no scope, it will take less time filling up the special since the e-liter and the splash-o-matic have the same number of points for the special. And you wouldn’t have to shoot over the pipes (1:25) for extra points. I wrote this because I saw you were using the tentatek splattershot and that requires 210 points for the ink jet while the splash-o-matic only needs 170 points. I hope this helped anyone in the comments.

"I got my special, but the Inkjet special requires more points." In that case, why don't you just use the Splash-o-Matic or the Octobrush, which take much less points to charge that the Octoshot's 220?

It’s March 24th of 2018 over here and I’ve done the glitch 10 to 20 minutes ago with only a few retries at the first bit. Looks like Nintendo has some mercy on the glitches.

Boundary Break - Splatoon 2

The void looks so terrifying in comparison to the cute and bubbly nature of Splatoon

This glitch makes me think of portal 2, the way that you end up leaving the testing area to find things you weren't meant to see.

I tried to do this but I can't even get on the first pipe 😡😂

Iam impressed! Not because of the glitch, more about the fact how detailed this game is! They even put a city, a sky bos, trees and cars in it although you are not supposed to see it!
