Happy to say that Split Force is now building their splitters with the controls brace and the UHMW pads on the conveyor paddles. Kudos to them for listening and responding positively to customer feedback!! 👍👍

Found your channel last night and am very impressed with your video quality and worth while content. Thanks for putting in the time and effort on these videos. Looks to be a top of the line splitter but seems like these improvements should have been addressed from the manufacturer before selling this $19k configuration. Hopefully they check out your video to see how to improve their product. Great ideas for these improvements.

Those are nice updates! The manufacturer should take note of the improvements you have made.That noise from the lift would have drove me crazy as well. I got to hand to you for your patience in making that upgrade. I would have ripped that channel and put in a couple of sprockets.

Just saw on Outdoors with the Morgans KZfaq channel this AM that they are demoing a Split Force 11/16. But it looks like Empire Attachments took your advice and added the handle holds and some HDPE to the paddles to cut down on the noise but it doesn't look like they took your advice to add a filter. I'd love to "test drive" one of these, I know I will like it but don't know if I can justify the price just yet production isn't quite enough yet.

Nice updates to your splitter. I see I’m not the only one who realizes some factory build equipment is not yet up to our standards 😆. I’m surprised the splitter did not come with a return filter. How has the filter worked so far? Running calcs your return stroke is probably pushing 30-45 gpm?. Hopefully that filter assembly can handle that.

Where do you source your firewood bags? If you don't mind sharing. I am looking for a more convenient way of storing my firewood than stacking in the shed. Very time consuming. Dropping a bag into a shelter with a machine seems like a good idea. I split by hand for the small amount of wood I use. I need the exercise! I'm just West of you I think, let's connect somehow.

you need to grease the beam were the wedge is. I have the smaller version without the conveyor and mine has a hyd filter inside the tank yours didnt come with that.?

Easy fix I don't know what it would be called in your area,puckboard it's a nylon plastic, just get a one quarter thick piece the length of your lift trough noise fix, that's what I did to my conveyor.

My complaint is Teflon tape does not belong on hydraulic equipment, , pieces will float to valves, or pumps!

Line the bottom of the troth with same material or rubber convaior belt material to save more noise and the life of the thoth from metal on metal

I think I'm going to disconnect the Honda on mine (to be soon) and put it in some kind of noise reducing box and hard plumb the hydraulics to some quick connect hoses. Drag it around with skid steer when it needs to be moved. Reducing the unbelievable amount of noise associated with firewood production is critical for me. Everything is so painfully loud. There's got to be a better way. Especially when you have neighbors within even 1000 yards. Nobody wants to listen to that noise pollution. I need to figure out some 3phase bandsaw the runs vertically as well. A chainsaw is fun to use, but after hour three, no so much.

I think hydraulic filters are nearly a waste of money because they could much better be described as coarse sieves and not a filter. They're much too coarse to catch anything more than the largest pieces of debris and it'd be terrifying finding anything they caught because that'd suggest major problems. I wouldn't swap out the hydraulic fluid any more than once a year or even longer depending on its running time. You'll never need to buy bar oil for your chainsaws ever again. Those wear plates are a good idea and you could consider folding those " using a hot air gun " cross wise " L shaped " so they work for the surface you covered and for the surface that comes into contact with the conveyor metal on its way up. Split them in two so you have one for each side of the chain and you'd still only need the one bolt for each. They'll wear over time but they'll stop any metal on metal contact.

Should have patented your fix for the conveyor noise....they'd have to pay you for incorporating it in to their manufacturing process. THAT WAS A NOISEY CONVEYOR!!! I'm sure the machine isn't cheap, pricewise. .
